Nice and supportive atmosphere, the location was ideal since we were looking at houses in Caversham.

Nice quiet location & good room rate and easy to park.

The location was great for the business that I needed to carry out, was changed for my second nights stay I had to negotiate 2 flights of stairs and the staff were very helpful.

Good location was only around 10 mins to get to anywhere I needed to go during my sta, faulty towers was run better and on arrival the room we allocated wasn't suitable for a disabled person of I am as was at the top of the hotel up four flights of stairs.

Firstly, it's in a very, VERY grim area, tucked into a rundown residential street behind the train station (Reading West, not Reading Central).

I smoke but the stink of the room made even my eyes water, dirty bathroom and overall the room was very grubby indeed.

There were two single beds in the room, and both bedspreads had black stains on them.

Very nice room and the staff also failed to provide fresh towels.

When room upstairs ran water it flowed down pipe with surgess of water and dripping sounds for more than 1 hour.

To be honest we did not stop in the hotel long, the room was very spacious and comfortable, breakfast gave a good choice.

My sink and bath has cigarete burns on it and lights kept flickering off and on, Breakfast was created in a microwave oven (Suspect meal was as well).

Comfortable accommodation and very helpfull staff & excellent breakfast on par.

Staff were friendly and helpful, bedding were also very clean and fresh, the breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast for the second morning was good.

They serve continental breakfast at weekends.

For the price is a more than adequate place to stay and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

We liked our stay and the Staff at The Abbey House were extremely friendly.

You can't just walk into reception - you have to use a dodgy intercom and be buzzed in.

Recommended for people like a simple place to stay and the staff are friendly.

However, I was a woman staying on my own for business and the staff were very helpful, yet discrete.

The location was great for me, the room in the hotel were very clean and tidy, the staff were very warm and helpful.

The hotel is very clean I do have to say that, ease of check in helpfull staff and parking close to the rooms.

This was at least more pleasant and smelt of air freshener, although had many stains on the floor, was not particularly clean and had a small damp bathroom.

The room was basic but clean and the breakfast was fine.
