We had a fantastic stay at this place! The location was perfect, close to the shops and restaurants, yet quiet enough for a peaceful stay. The staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to arrive a little early. The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including a comfortable bed, beautiful spa bath, and a well-furnished bedroom. The hotel had a beautiful garden and picturesque surroundings that made our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

Wonderful and very pleasent hotel. The place itself was situated in the Dandenong Ranges provided a fairy tale like backdrop and the hotel only complimented that with its rustic and romentic facade. The service was very personal being run by the most lovely couple that were very helpful and friendly. The room was very well prepared and stocked with everything you would need and more.

The only complain would be its lack of a more prominent signage as it was located along a bend in the road and it is easy to pass it if you were not looking in the opposite direction of the road as you drive up to it.

The record player in the room was fantastic, as was the spa.

Initally the toilet was blocked, but this was fixed. But I discovered late in the evening I had no hot water in the suite. Thankfully there was an 'emergency tap' to fill the spa bath

We loved the convenience of the hotel's location, with everything we needed so close by. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for restaurants in this city. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast offered a great selection. Additionally, the parking was easy and convenient for us during our stay.

The accommodation offered a comfortable and peaceful stay with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were charming and well-stocked for a simple yet satisfying breakfast. It was easy to find and located close to lovely cafes and shops and botanical gardens.

There was some traffic noise from passing cars, which could be a distraction to some guests. the lack of Wi-Fi made it difficult to stay connected and work while at the hotel.

The hotel is decorated in country style. We had two rooms & both were very nicely done and quite big. The loft room is gorgeous & great as a gathering place. Being an older place with thick walls we could not hear the neighbours. We could walk for coffee/dinner.Also very central to the attractions of the area ( we took our own car)

We would have enjoyed an outdoor area as we were there in summer. The garden is a work in progress but not finished yet.

Breakfast was supplied but very disapointed that for toast you did not have white bread i'm alergic to seed grain so was not able to have toast puzzled everyone can eat white bread but not everyone can eat whole grain but everything else for breakfast was great. Another thing I did notice was that the carpet was in need of a clean which let it down a bit the rest was excellent

The accommodation was perfectly located near the shopping strip making it super easy to access local eateries and shops, while still being peaceful and quiet. The room and bathroom were both immaculately clean, and staff members were incredibly welcoming and helpful. the view from the property was breathtaking, and the facilities were plenty.

While the breakfast was advertised, it was a bit lackluster compared to other hotels nearby.

The Calico Suite was very suitable for my 3 children and they enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and the adjoining outdoor garden seats. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We especially liked the personal recommendations on where to eat and go, The Montrose playground was extremely useful and the food at Pig & Whistle Tavern was fantastic! The carpark was big and convenient too.

Would prefer hot breakfast at the B&B itself - it's so nice to have it outdoors.

Relaxed, quite, close to township and easy to get to. Old charm

The room we had was small, but everything was there waht we needed.

The place was unique and quirky yet tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the privacy and the friendly, generous hosts. The rooms were individually themed and special. We loved the fact that we were able to choose from three different rooms for our stay.

We had a minor issue with the spa as it was a bit difficult to get in and out of. We also found that the wifi reception was only available in the reception area, which was a bit of a downside.
