One staff member in particular was very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast provided is excellent with many options.

not being able to make tea with boiling water (thermoses were available at any time in the breakfast area, but the water was not hot enough to make good tea).

Nice breakfast, very friendly staff. Victorian rooms are beautiful.

10 minutes walk from the first subway station.

Staff is wonderful, friendly, accommodating. Excellent tips on area, restaurants and directions to airport much better than GPS route.

Very clean, excellent morning breakfast. I plan on making this my "go to" place to stay when visiting the city.

Location was great. Good continental breakfast. Parking available.

Room service: no cleaning the last day

My partner was impressed with the victorian facility. She was amazed with the room decore, four poster bed, and cloth walls that matched the drapery.

Desk coverage was lacking and no one offered any explaination of what was available either in or near this facility.

We liked the location close to public transportation (really the only way to visit the downtown Boston area) and the coffee/tea service throughout the day.

While the room was clean and large enough for the 3 of us (husband, wife and teenage son) the bathroom was tiny, only fairly appointed. Breakfast was not satisfactory. The baked goods were stale all three mornings and we went down the road to a local coffee shop after our first breakfast. I would not stay at this b&b again.

Rooms were well appointed and comfortable.

Breakfast was disappointing. While there was a large selection of breakfast foods, the many pastries , bagels etc seemed to lack freshness. Would have appreciated some bread, and especially a toast making facility.

The room was on the small side, but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and everything worked. We asked for a quiet room and it was indeed quiet. We got a good night's sleep and had a very nice continental breakfast in the morning. The price was very reasonable for Boston, and the location was perfect for us. We would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing to complain about - although it would have been nice to have some yogurt for breakfast ;-)

The location was close to public transportation.

The dining area and suite had very low light because of the excessive layering of window treatments. In the bedroom it was so dark even with the light on one couldn't find things in the suitcase. All that fabric is also a gathering place for dust. A strong odor of scented products was very obvious throughout the space.

The location is very convenient to the t and there are buses right outside the door, making it handy for an overnight in Cambridge/Boston. We stayed in the house with the contemporary rooms, which are pleasant, clean, and nicely furnished. Hot coffee and cocoa in the lobby on a freezing night was most appreciated.

The people at the desk during the late afternoon, evening, and weekend seem to be great: helpful, friendly, and welcoming. But man who is there in the morning and until 3 pm is unhelpful and downright rude at times. When I checked in late afternoon I asked if it would be possible to leave my car in the lot for a while after checking out the next day, and was told that it would be "no problem." When checking out the next morning I double-checked with the morning grump at the desk, who said it would not be all right because policy was for the parking to be available only to current guests. I can certainly understand that. But when I pointed out that I had been told otherwise by the evening staff, had planned accordingly, and needed to figure out an alternative plan, he just said, "Oh, that guy doesn't know anything," and ignored me. No apology for the misinformation and inconvenience. When I asked about nearby parking garages, the man just said, "I don't know anything about that," turned his back on me, and started fiddling with things at the back of the office. End of conversation. To him I say: Anybody running a bed and breakfast has to be willing to provide guests with helpful information about the local area gladly, or to look it up if he doesn't know, and has to have at least minimal social skills. It is part of the job, sir. If you don't like it, then please either fake it or move on to something other than the hospitality industry. You are the only reason I wouldn't recommend your inn to others. If you can learn to be a more considerate host, your inn will be a fine place.

I liked the location and the free parking was definitely an asset. The room was clean, and decorating was contemporary. Entering and exiting the house was very easy and secure. The continental breakfast was adequate and hours good.

We were somewhat disappointed in the size of the room for the price...very small. The wine glasses were placed on a soiled napkin on a tray and there was not a corkscrew. Baked goods at the breakfast could have been much fresher.

Staff was willing to wait until midnight for late arrival.

The room, bed, or bedding had been heavily deodorized with sweet over-powering scent. So heavily, I couldn't sleep. Went searching in my car for alternative hotel at 3:30 am. Checked out before my second night.

The location is great and parking is sage in a busy area.

The mattress in our room was not very good.
