This hotel has in fact been renovated but overall it still lacks the feel of a newer hotel. The rooms have great new beds but rooms come with only two doubles or a king but not two queens. The hotel is completely smoke-free, which is great. It is conveniently located right off I-85. The airport shuttle runs every 15 minutes and stops first at the Holiday Inn across the street before making the five minute or so trip to Hartsfield. Overnight parking is free (big fenced-in surface lot), as is Internet acccess, and the Wi-Fi reception is very fast. The breakfast buffet was above average but costs $14. All in all a good stay but with a breakfast included, free parking, and free Internet, $110 was okay.

We were traveling with another couple and our flights left Atlanta about six hours apart. We had the car rental and the early flight. We didn't want to leave the other couple stranded in a hotel all day. We found the Crown Plaza at a great rate on line plus they offered shuttles to the airport and shuttles to access travel in to the city. That worked out great for both couples. The building is very nice the rooms were great, drinks and food was resonable. We all felt we had hit the jackpot for comfort, convience, and the price we pay for the night. Very nice!!!

I was expecting another typical airport property, but they have recently completed hotel remodeling at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. I usually try to stay at Crowne Plaza as this is my hotel product of choice. The rooms are very nice with the typical sleep program (bag of sleep amenities) a sleep CD to put you to sleep. I stayed on the club floor and enjoyed the appetizers and drinks. They have a nice setup in the morning as well.
I did not use any of the facilities or lobby restaurant so no input there. There appears to be a great amount of banquet space and they seem to have alot of meetings.
The staff overall was pleasant, but some were not so friendly. They just didn't seem to go out of their way. Desk staff was great and made me feel very welcome.
My only concern was trying to locate a decent restaurant close by the hotel. There appeared to be only fast food and I was not in the mood.
The location was great and they offered shuttle to and from the airport which really helped out. I would stay again when I am in Atlanta.

It sounds like many of the older reviews were written when this hotel was in the midst of being renovated. Renovations are now complete (or nearly so -- there was a board in the lobby showing the changes being made), and the hotel is GREAT. No complaints at all.
Very very clean rooms. Beds were comfortable with soft pillows, clean sheets, and a lovely duvet. Lots of toiletries and such in the bathroom, and lots of hot water and good water pressure. Plus some nice extras like a sleep mask, lavender oil for the pillow, and a CD player with a 'sleep sounds' CD. (which I didn't use.) Good soundproofing both between the rooms AND between room and bathroom.
I didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff, but all I met were pleasant and efficient.
Public spaces were attractive and clean; the elevators were fast and quiet.
I didn't eat in the hotel, but the restaurant looked nice. (Room service menu was VERY expensive, however.) There is no free breakfast, but this is not unusual for a hotel of this caliber. (Most cheap and midrange motels offer free breakfasts now. Most mid to upper range hotels do NOT.)
A couple of reviews commented on the lack of near-by eateries. This is NOT true. Within a 2-3 block (5 minute) walk from the hotel are at least a dozen restaurants, ranging from basic fast food (Arbys, KFC) through low cost sit-down (Waffle House, a good BBQ joint) to several nicer places (Italian, Mexican, etc.) You will not go hungry.
A free and frequent airport shuttle, easy access to I85 (about 10 minutes to downtown if it isn't rush hour -- 3 hours if it is!) and lots of conference space make this a good choice whether you are waiting for a plane, visiting Atlanta, or planning/attending a conference.

Stayed for one night to be near the Atlanta Airport. The carpet was filthy - bad stains - needed to be cleaned. The bedspread had black marks on it and the top sheet had a red smear near the edge. We ordered room service and the staff member simply handed over the tray of food without the cart! There was no table so we ate on the bed. Went down to the lobby to get an extra ashtray and the desk clerk couldn't find one so she gave me a soap-dish. Room was very, very small. A fire alarm speaker went off around 11pm. We were on the second floor and walked down to the emergency exit door which was locked. A staff member then told us to go out another door which set off another alarm that blared for 10 minutes. We went around to the front of the hotel and a staff member said to go back in - that someone had messed with the alarm. The floor area under the air conditioner wall unit had a mound of plaster and dirt under it. This was not a good experience and we will definitely not stay there again.
