We stayed at the NH Den Haag for a weekend conference. The hotel is very modern, with excellent sized rooms and it is clean and comfortable. It is well placed for the business district, is located near to a tram station, but is about 20 mis walk from the centre in an unattractive location. It appears to be very quiet at weekends - so much so that the bar shuts! We had one dreadful meal and one good one, so it is hard to comment on the food with any authority. Staff were helpful.
It would probably not be my first choice if staying in The Hague unless a very good deal was available, or I needed to be in that part of town.

This hotel is really struggling with identity - they claim to be a four star but the service is like you're in communist eastern europe. Whilst the staff are superficially pleasant, they have a deep seated objection to and will often refuse to actually solve your problems. Be warned if you want food out of hours, laundry at the weekend, or directions in Den Haag. With regard to asking for room service at 2308 (it closed at 2300) I got told "the kitchen is closed, we have no bread or cheese, and polite guests wait until breakfast to eat" whereupon the phone was slammed down - they now do room service until midnight but I would not be optimistic if you asked for anything after that. Laundry - they do not do this at weekends (even though this is meant to be a four star hotel) and when asking how I might get my laundry done I got the respsonse "I don't know this is not my problem". Finally when asking for directions the desk clerk said "I have no idea how to get there as I don't live in Den Haag" - I was pointed towards the free maps (useless if you don't know the city) with no offer of helping me find an address via the internet etc.
Added to the hopeless service, the locale lacks anything of use too (no shops, bars, or eateries except two establishments onsite).
Some of this expereince relates to Netherlands customer care (typically the standard of service you get in Holland is very poor - "its not my problem") but this is hugely multiplied by the attitude of staff.
Consequently I cannot recommend this establishment - in fact I would go so far as to say avoid it if you have another option.
Therefore only stay here if you are forced to.

I stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago when it was brand new; it had some problems then which are understandable when a hotel is brand new and staff still needs to get 'into the groove'.
I was there recently, and they still haven't got their act together: parking your car in the hotel garage is still very expensive, staff is still somewhat rude when you ask for anything.
Some issues with the room that they had, are still not solved: e.g. the water in the bath tub won't go away since the water pressure keeps the tab closed. You have to manually pull the tab out (which is hard, because of the water pressure)
There is no fitness room in the hotel, they have a deal (12.50 EUR per day, 30 EUR per week) with a nearby fitness center.
Internet in the room is not free (Swisscomm).
The neighborhood is still in development, so the place looks a bit deserted during the night, not a many restaurants are nearby, some closing at 9pm, which can be too soon for the late night worker.
Conclusion: if you need to be in this business area, it might be a good choice if you just want a good night's sleep, but don't expect anything extra beyond a reasonable bed.

I stayed in this hotel several times. It offers no leisure activiteis, but for a business trip to The Hague it's recommendable. It's quite new, with a nice, not exaggerated modern design. I do not understand the critics of others over the window between bathroom and room. Don't be ridiculous. Its just opaque glass, you don't see anything. The big advantage is: You have daylight in your bathroom, and this is quite nice. Concerning the prices: Please compare with other hotels at The Hague. The price-quality ratio of this hotel is suberb!!!

I stayed here in September 2006 for 5 nights whilst on business. The location was near to where I was working, but is a good 10 minute walk to the central station and about 20-25 minute walk to the town centre.
The room was very well appointed and very clean.
The staff were friendly and polite.
Breakfast was of a high standard, though the restaurant did get quite busy sometimes.
I had 3 evening meals in the restaurant which consisted of a chicken noodle soup that had no chicken in it (only chicken stock), a hamburger that used meat from a supermarket-bought frozen hamburger patty pack (instead of being freshly made), and a vegetable soup that was so tasteless that it may has well have been thick, green water. Needless to say I did not actually finish any of the dinners I started.
I also tried the pizza/pasta place next door and that was marginally better. There are some restaurants/pubs about 5 minutes walk down the road the hotel entrance is on, but I did not try any of them.
I'd stay here again because it is a nice hotel, but I would eat all of my evening meals at other restaurants.
