Stayed here for a brief 3-4 hours as we arrived late from Madrid and were being picked up at 6am.Requested an alarm call for 5am,didn´t get one!Luckily had set my alarm on my mobile phone. When we said to reception they were adamant they rang, they didn´t.Make sure you dont rely on them to wake you.
Average room, average buffet breakfast.Wouldn´t choose this place again.

I and my wife had already stayed at the NH Florida during 3 nights in November 2005, and as we liked it at that time, booked 5 nights from March 31 to April 5 this year. The hotel is well located in the center of Buenos Aires, near Florida Street and the mall “Galerias Pacifico”. There are some small restaurants in the neighborhood, but the best ones are in Puerto Madero ( less then 3 dollars a cab ride) and Recoleta (less then 4 dollars a cab ride).
I would not call the reception personal “cold”, like other reviewers, I’d rather say they are unprepared. The breakfast buffet consists of the usual assortment of edibles found in any 3 star tourist hotel.
The rooms are large, dispose of electronic safe, hairdryer, central air conditioning and sufficient illumination – ours was in the first floor this time. The curtains must have been white in the past, now are literally dust gray. The bed was reasonable for south american standards.
Housekeeping is correct, but they should have cared a little more about the mosquitoes. Probably due to recent rains around BA, there was plenty of them buzzing around most of the time. I developed a technique of catching them using a folded TV magazine (which I had bought), and by the third night was already skilled enough to kill 4 or 5 mosquitoes before going to bed and sleeping till about 5 am, when the traffic on San Martin street started (the windows are not soundproof). By the way, the TV channels indicated in the hotel folder do not accurately match those really exhibited (no US CNN, no French TV5).
I own a NH preferential discount card, which was as good as nothing, since the reception personal repeatedly told me “the NH system is currently down in the whole world”.We paid an average of 150 dollars a night, and a suppose for that price or a little more it is well worth to look for a better place in the vicinities.

First timer in BA. Holiday. Great downtown location. Next to one of the biggest shopping complex in BA. Above-average room and service. Won't mind staying again.

A very good NH hotel as usual. Perfect location for "first timers" in Buenos Aires. If you're in BA for Florida Street shopping, this is your hotel. And also quite near to Puerto Madero. If you don't bring your laptop, 2 PCs avalaible at the lobby. The included breakfast has a good variety. Low point: walking on the guestroom hardwood floor can be heard through the not so insulated walls. It's said that the hotel has a "pillow menu", but I asked 3 times for a "servical pillow"...and I'm still waiting for it....
If it's not your first time around, try some of the nice and not so expensive boutique hotels in Palermo.
