Sixties style tower block hotel -OK enough I suppose
Guest name: Bigmund, Derbyshire England
This hotel is a claimed 3* in the new part of Fribourg - very convenient for the railway and bus stations, and the beautiful old town. It looks rather like an old 60s council block from the outside, so initial impressions are not too good! It does everything averagely well - the rooms are not particularly big, not very well decorated, not brilliantly well equipped. Bathroom is modest in size and level of equipment (shower only). Bed was very comfortable though, and breakfast is above average. Cost is on the high side for the level of comfort. 3* status is about accurate.
I would try other hotels in the area first before selecting the NH.
Hotel correcto, en la l?nea de un NH

Location is good, the rooms are spartan but functional, and the breakfast excellent. Lobby is quite big, and so are rooms. It is not luxurious by any means but it's also a good property in terms of location and easy access.

I have stayed at the NH many times. It has an excellent location -- five minutes walk to the train station or to the main downtown shopping district. The rooms are just average in quality. There are some tiny rooms. It seems to be up to chance whether I get a tiny room or a normal one. The lighting in the rooms is very low making it difficult to read a book. The free breakfast included with the rooms is excellent and includes hot dishes like bacon and eggs as well as cold cereals, breads, meats and cheeses. The high speed wireless internet is quite pricey at about 48 CHF per day although there are cheaper plans available for longer periods starting at one week.
The rooms at the Au Parc hotel are much nicer -- brightly lit, and include an in-room DVD player. The wireless internet is the same price as at the NH, but you can get a wired DSL modem for only CHF 10 per day, a great bargain. However, the Au Parc requires a bus ride or 20 minute walk to downtown.
