Just back from a week stay at the bella playa hotel in malgrat de mar and had a blast.
Nice clean rooms, very comfertable beds for a change, slept like a prince the whole week.
Food was fine lots of variation everyday and eventhough im vegetarian there was plenty to fill you stomage with.
All the staff where very friendly, esp the bar personel /waiters
Nice swimmingpool, where you also can get nice food for a reasonable price.
Fun evening program first for the kids and later for the adults.
I was sad having to go home again.
A place i can recommend to everyone.

The staff were fine, and the pool etc were fine, but the room was a disaster, The walls were so thin i was kept awake by the man next door snoring. I could also here the other next door get up and go to the loo in the middle of the night. not my idea of a relaxing holiday.
The 2nd night i got 4 hours sleep as in the middle of the night a coach load of people trapsed down the corridor to go home at 4am in addition to the snoring.
I complained to the hotel staff and they offered to move us to their 4* hotel in Santa Susanna just down the road, This is much nicer and Santa Susanna is a lot more classy.
Malgrat de mar is just one tacky shop after another, with bar after bar with billboards out with photos of burgers and chips on it.
After a lot of hunting we found an authentic spanish restaurant in the old part of malgrat, as well as a lovely restaurant on the front, with A big fish tank out the front. There are also a couple of nice chinese restaurants, one in a mall kind of area where you pick your raw food out and then they cook it for you.
Activ natura is well worth a visit, we went canoping through the trees and they will collect you and take you home.
I will never be going anywhere near malgrat de Mar again.

Staying at the Aqua Hotel Bella Playa was great. The rooms were cleaned everyday, the food was good and the staff were really friendly and pleasant. There were 4 swimming pools and good sized rooms with a balcony.
Although, i glad we didn't stay longer than a week. The hotel was brilliant, but there wasn't much going on in Malgrat. It is recommended to visit Barcelona though- you can go by train for a very small price (approx 1hr away).
Overall , the holiday was great, recommended if you want a peaceful break!

Just come back from a two week stay at the Aqua Bella Playa. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though weather was mixed. Bedrooms were of average size and very clean and tidy, also had air con units. Balcony was also a decent size. Most guests appeared to be from France, Holland, Germany or Russia, however the buffet was clearly labelled in numerous languages including English. Staff were very helpful. Hotel had numerous facilities: safety deposit box (?4 a day or ?18 per week), bike hire, internet access, pool tables, table tennis, games machines etc. Had large bar which also hosted evening entertainment - black light show is a must. In addition, also very large lounge with comfy sofas etc. There were 3 outdoor pools (2 for adults and 1 children's pool) plus one indoor heated pool, with one lifeguard on duty. Plenty of sunloungers by pool with numerous sun umbrellas dotted around. Hotel was ideally situated just a couple of minutes walk from sea front and train station - with twice hourly trains running to Barcelona (?6.40 return). Only negative was the thinness of the walls in hotel bedrooms.
