Excellant hotel. The rooms are very roomy. The location is great. The pool is awesome and the staff are very friendly and accomodating. They called me by my name every time I went by the front desk. I will definately stay here again!

Please contact her at bookings@plazainnhotel.com.mx The train ride from Barrancas to Los Mochis was the most beautiful part of the whole trip. Once you get past Las Furetes there is nothing exciting to see though. Our main reason to go all the way to Los Mochis was for the fishing and the airport is there for our trip home. We were met at the train station by a driver from the Plaza Inn Hotel. They checked us in and Alejandra was there to meet us with drinks. The hotel is so nice and clean and upscale. Owens restraunt in the hotel is an excellent place to eat any meal. They cooked our tuna we caught deep sea fishing. EXCELLENT. Try the shrimp...all of it !!! They also prepared our box lunch for the fishing trip. Try an in room message...they are great and fairly priced. One word of caution...the swimming pool has too much minerals in the water and turned my hair so green it was freaky !! I'm still trying to get it striped out. (funny souvenier) We loved our whirlwind Copper Canyon trip and it was totally due to Alejandra. I wish she could plan all of our trips !!!!

Well, I'm not sure where the screw up was but to arrive in Los Mochis at 3am and no transfer to greet you is a bit unnerving. Luckily there were plenty of taxi touts to take our business. The bigger shock was to find the man at the front desk (I daren't call him 'manager') was too busy chatting to friends to deal with us. Eventually he turned to us and ungraciously booked us in. The disco was still boom, boom, booming but luckily it finished just as we arrived in our room; luckily we could bared hear the slamming of car doors cos we were showering. I suggest asking for a room around the back and/or not on the first floor. The breakfast buffet is great. The helpful staff in the morning phoned to the ferry company and confirmed our reservations. Our return visit a few days later couldn't have been more different--the staff were charming and helpful and the room great; well away from the thumping music and slamming car doors. Dinner at Mr Owen's was not too bad say 7/10. Overall not a bad place but we wouldn't recommend it. Finally, my husband left his prescription sunglasses at the front desk as we checked out; we phoned immediately (in the taxi) and they said the glasses were there and would be kept for us---upon our return no one could locate them.
