The Novotel Edinburgh Park is perfect for visitors not wanting to stay in the city centre. We were visiting an event outside edinburgh for two days and found the hotel very easy to get to.
On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by very friendly reception staff, and following an efficient check-in, we retired to our room. Big, airy rooms with everything just at your fingertips. As mentioned before, because of the location, once you open the window, it does become a little noisy, but nothing to particularly disturb us (and we live in the country!).
The big bed was fantastically comfortable and the electronically operated shower was just the best way to wake you up in the morning!
As for breakfast, well at the weekends, don't hurry for it as it goes on 'til midday!! We were in our element! And as it was buffet style, for everything from fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, fresh bread, croissants and the traditional Scottish cooked breakfast, you can really get your money's worth!
We ate in the hotel one night, and were very pleasantly surprised. Attentive service, really tasty food served on hot plates and nothing was too much trouble.
We unfortunately didn't manage to use the leisure facilities but they looked lovely too.
All in all, we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to others, and indeed to stay there again!

The new Novotel in Edinburgh Park is a thouroughly modern Hotel. As it has only been open for a matter of weeks, not many people know of its existence, namely taxi drivers! Handy for Edinburgh Park train station, which also means you should expect some noise. The main train track runs along the side of the Hotel. I was unable to leave the window open due to the noise, and the clattering from the Air Con didn't help much either. Other than that the rooms are nicely furnished. Flat screen TV, sofa and comfortable bed. Shower was something special. Electronic operation and good pressure and heat.
Staff were also very helpful and friendly. I didn't eat there, but if you choose to leave the Hotel there is nothing to visit. It is on the outskirts of the business park and near to a retail park. No other pubs or restuarants that I am aware of.

The hotel has only been open a month, so not everything working as it might be soon - gym not quite open, suites and exec floor not yet complete. However, rooms are a good size, full Scottish breakfast is quality, pool cleverly has natural daylight filtering in despite being in the basement. Literally next door to the Edinburgh Park train station, which is only about 10 mins from Waverley (about 7 to Haymarket). Staff were keen too.
