We needed a place by the airport as our friends were arriving late and we needed to hit the road early the next morning. Hit up priceline and got this place for $44/room. At that price, I didn't expect much, but the hotel turned out to be perfectly fine for our needs. It was pretty empty when we were there, so we had no problem getting two adjoining, non-smoking rooms that were convenient to both lobby and parking lot. The desk folks were quite friendly and there were plenty of luggage carts available for use by guests (it was unclear whether there were bellmen if you wanted them, but I generally prefer to just schlep my own stuff using a hotel cart). Both rooms were a decent size and the beds were clean with new-looking linens and were reasonably comfortable (nothing special, but nothing objectionable either). The rest of the furniture and fixtures seemed in need of an update, but everything was clean and functional. I particularly appreciated that they supplied empty minifridges in the rooms where we could store our own beverages (and our baby's food), which I greatly prefer to the minibars found in many hotels that are stuffed with overpriced goodies and leave no room for your own stuff. Would I go back? If I needed a hotel near the MKE airport and the price was right, absolutely. But I can't imagine paying rack rate for this place. And judging by some of the other reviews, there are probably rooms in this hotel that are much worse than the ones we got. As they say in the car ads, your mileage may vary.

I saw several reviews for this hotel suggesting it was a fine place to stay overnight before catching my flight out in the morning. What a depressing place. The hotel is huge and hard to navigate. The window of our first room (on the first floor) opened onto an employee stairwell, and folks could have chosen to look in if we'd kept our drapes open. The window wouldn't lock, so we asked for another room. It felt safer, but everything about it was dark and past its shelf life. The furniture, bathroom and carpet were worn -- so worn it was hard to tell what was dirt and what was just old; the lamps had low wattage bulbs, and the room never got as cool as we wanted. We were so glad to leave the next morning.

The first room had a refrigerator that had a sagging inside seal on it. The room itself was too warm, 76 degrees and the air conditioning was inoperable, after 3 calls and 3 different stories, no air, so we asked to change rooms. we had to repack our bags and lug them to the opposite side of the hotel. the air worked but the bathroom was archaic and small. there werent enough towels and i wondered if the room had even been cleaned. and lastly the phone did not work. i will never stay there again!

I did not have any issues with this hotel. My peronal problem was the property itself. I have stayed at many Wyndham hotels across the country and this one is not even in the same league. If you are looking for a place to lay your head, this place is for you. If you are going to be spending some time in your room, I believe you should spend a little more money and stay somewhere else. The property is old and does not look like it has been renovated in a long time. The rooms are very small. The bathroom is unbelievably small. The courtyard look like it was a 1970's time capsule.

I stayed here 5 nights for business from 6/1-6/6 and have stayed here once before when it was a Sheraton hotel. I have to say, that I enjoyed my room a lot better this time. It was located in a completely different part of the building this time (Executive Building). The rooms look a lot better than the hallways and the exterior of the building. They've tried to improve most rooms to have the "Be Well" beds and nice pillows, linens, and comforters. The bathroom is very "old school" and is a bit small. I call it old school because it has the really old toilets that are in elementary schools. The kind with the really loud flushers where the water wooshes through the toilet and is really obnoxious. It was a big pain because when you are trying to sleep, the room next door flushes their toilet and wakes you up. OK, enough about the toilets. The plumbing is just plain LOUD! You know what else is loud? The DOORS! The doors are aweful and slam if you don't hold them and lightly close them. It was pretty annoying when I was trying to sleep in the morning and the rooms next door and across from me left early in the morning. Being woken up by slamming doors at 7:00am is not cool. The biggest downfall for this hotel is the decor. It is absolutely awful. It has a slightly old smell in the hallways. It smells like really old carpet and wallpaper. Probably because........IT IS REALLY OLD CARPET and WALLPAPER!! This stuff is ancient. This aspect about the hotel makes it look low budget and tacky. They generally overcharge for rooms but you can't beat how close it is to the airport. But, remember......you can really hear the planes flying overhead. Not a good place for light sleepers. Overall, it has its pros and cons. Not a bad hotel, but definately not the greatest. I did enjoy that they have quite a few Cable TV channels. I'd have to say that it's comparable to satelite tv. I also enjoyed the free WiFi. I liked the one cup coffee maker in the room that makes a single serve cup of coffee to-go. They have nice complementary bathroom products. It's very nice that they have refrigerators in the rooms too. I worked out at the fitness center a couple times and I was satisfied with the cardio machines. They have 2 elipticals, 2 treadmills, and a few stationary bikes. They have only free weight dumbells. I enjoyed eating at the steakhouse. Good food and service. I also feel that the front desk people are friendly. I kept my do not disturb sign out all week so that I would not have housekeeping in my room. I enjoyed that they honored my request every day and didn't enter to clean. They left me a courtesy note under my door stating if I needed anything replenished, to call the front desk. I never needed to because they give you 3 towels of each type and I hung mine up to airdry everyday.
