Nasty storms knocked out power to a healthy portion of Gaithersburg the night I stayed at the Wyndham, but surprisingly, the hotel had power - I'm guessing they had a backup generator. The AC unit didn't seem to do the best job with humidity, so my room had a bit of a musty smell, but after a few minutes in the room, the brain kinda masks that sort of thing. Because of the remodeling, the carpet and bedding in my room were new/very good, but finding dozens of hairs throughout the bathroom, was a problem for me. Housekeeping went home at 6p (I checked in after 6), and they were sold out, so no option to be relocated. The woman at the front desk did try to offer other things such as a free breakfast the next morning, and even hinted management might comp the room. I thanked her for offering, but really only wanted a clean room :(

I stayed here December 3rd thru the 7th for business. It was a great experiance. The rooms were very nice. I would say they were on par with actual marriot rooms. I had a king room # 703. It was very spacious. My only complaints are that the walls were a little thin as I could hear the tv in the room next to mine. Also the elevator looked a little bit old. However on the whole it was great. Its located in a great spot and had a great breakfast buffet. I would definately stay here. Also the customer service was excellent. I had left two pairs of jeans in my room. I called when I arrived home and they were overnighted to me. What a great place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YUK! Except for the friendly, accommodating staff, there is NOTHING to recommend this place. The description says "recently remodeled" but if so, the construction company and decorators made out like bandits! Shoddy, seedy, and sloppy work, fixtures and furniture. Phones and internet that didn't work. ceiling paint that never quite made it to the wall-ceiling joint and left the nearly black remnant of the old paint showing. Dresser with dry rot in the wood along the bottom; wooden valances that looked like they were thrown together in 5 minutes by a 6 year old; plastic corner protectors that were loose in places; water stains in the ceiling paint,......etc. etc. Do not stay here for any price! I have had better rooms in Motel 6! I only wish I had had a camera!

Our family of four stayed here while visiting my aunt in Gaithersburg as home base for family vacation in the D.C. area. I would say this is a nice hotel, more spacious rooms than average, everything in the room worked fine, and the overall ambience seemed updated and nice. Very friendly staff who seemed anxious to help out. We got a summer promotion that included breakfast, so that was a great value. Swimming pool and fitness center were reasonable for a hotel. Overall great experience. It's just a little tricky to find (somewhat tucked behind the fire station and other office buildings), but still pretty convenient just off Montgomery Village Ave.

I stayed at this hotel in order to visit relatives in Gaithersburg and go on a sightseeing trip to DC. The hotel was reasonable, with good service and the breakfast package was excellent! It is far from the airport, but I was able to have a local pick me up and shuttle me around town. I definately would stay here again
