Difficult at best to get to, then it was all down hill..................

Called and got a great sales jobo on the phone. It sounded good so I bit the urge and booked.
The place is very difficult to get to, as in you must realize out on your own as they did not tell me that you have to get on the local part of Route 1. Seconly, there is on sign on the road so you can very easily drive by and when you do is is horrible at best.
The entrance is most difficult and the U-turn will save you if you catch it.
Had to wait to check in, reserved and confirmed that we had to have a smoking room, key didn't work, had to wait 15 minutes for one that did. Then room was a Non-Smoking and there was only ONE towel in the whole room, no wash cloth, or hand towel.
Went to dinner in restuarant, service sucked at best.
No one checked to see how out meal was, and our drinks (water) went empty early on and was never replenished.
Turkey sandwich had nothing on it and was dry.
Went back to the front desk to suggest that we be moved to a smoking room and was informed that there were none and that was it. I then suggested that smoking WOULD take place in the rom as I had tried. We were then moved to a room on the first floor where the desk lamp didn't work. I later found out after crawling on my hands and knees that it was actually plugged into it's self. Where did they think the electricity was going to come from? It certainly wasn't magical, and there were no electric fairies that I could find.
At best this room is okay, But don't expect anyting too wonderful 'cause you get your feelings hurt.

My family stayed a night at the newly renovated Wyndham Newark Airport hotel for business in NYC the following day. We were surpised to see the Wyndham logo on the hotel because we have stayed at the same hotel a few times, as early as only months prior to this visit, when it was the Ramada Inn. Wyndham has done major renovations to the lobby area, which now includes a deli, a convenience store, and a new restaurant. The staff was very nice & courteous--we did not have reservations, but arrived around check-in time, and received a great double room at a good price. The room was very clean and nicely appointed with modern furnishing and a marble bath. Limited number of channels on the cable tv, but it did have HBO. There were a few free bottles of water in the room and a coffee maker, which was convenient. The planes are quite noisy at times, but if you don't mind that, the Wyndham is a great place to stay for the price. There are a few fast food places just a few miles past the hotel. The hotel is situated on an odd industrial-type access road, which makes driving a bit tricky. You have to remember to stay on the "Local Route" instead of the Express Route or you will end up circling the Newark Airport forever----the Express Route does not give access to the side roads where the hotels are located. We plan to stay at the Wyndham again when in NYC---great price, clean, and only a 30 - 45 min drive (depending on traffic conditions) through the tunnel (Holland & Lincoln) to NYC.

Continental Airlines suggested this hotel when I ended up with an unexpected overnight layover due to bad weather and a canceled flight. The checkin and checkout were both zippity-quick and the front desk people very polite. The lobby is clean and warm-looking. My room had a tall king-sized bed that waa one of the most comfy I"ve ever slept on, and there were at least six pillows in all different thicknesses. The sheets were soft and pretty. The bathroom sink was gigantic and the bathroom is stocked with Bath & Body Works spa shampoo/conditioner/soap and lotion - really great stuff. The hotel was very quiet and I slept great.
The view out my window was just of a building wall, and one very odd thing - the bathroom door did not close because the toilet was in the way! Very strange! I could see the dents on the door from people trying to force it closed. If it hadn't been only me staying the night, I would have requested a different room.
I noticed breakfast stuff being laid out in the lobby (continental?) - it looked really delicious but I had to catch my shuttle back to the airport. Checkout literally took 30 seconds at the front desk.
However, if you need a place to crash for one night, this hotel is the place for a pampered, good night's sleep.

The WORST managed property I've ever seen! Disgusting bathrooms, filthy lobby, unsafe environment. Would not honor a confirmed internet reservation and left us with our 3 children sleeping in the dirty lobby. Had PLENTY of rooms, but would not "release" any. "Manager" Denise cared less about us, ignored us, was threatening toward us, and laughed at us when we finally left, with nowhere to go, at 3 AM.
Their reservations are a MESS. Are they a Wyndham? A Doubletree? A Ramada? They have NO idea. No one seems in charge, and they were anything but helpful. NOT worth it. Go anywhere but this dump.

RBC booked us a room here on my credit card. My wife and I showed up with reservation in hand at 2am, as scheduled, with our 2 children after being up for 19 hours, hoping to get a few hours rest before getting up for an 8:45 am flight. We were told they had given our room away and that we could get a room in Parsippany !! They refused to cover the extra expense required to get from Parsippany Hampton to Newark Airport. Nice folks - not one word of apology. I felt really badly for the bride and groom who walked in as we were leaving. I would not send my worst enemy here. Reserve a room here at your own risk.
