Aren't you sometimes tired with all those boring chain hotels? NH Iruna Park in beautiful Pamplona is so typically boring, so median average that it's actually the perfect example.
Don't get me wrong - there is nothing wrong with it. It's just bland. Building is bland - especially compared to surroundings (overlooking Yamaguchi Park). Rooms are bland - good size and perfectly clean. Food is bland - I had dinner through room service and the only thing I remember is Faustino V (wine).
There are no personal touches, there is nothing Spanish about that hotel. It could be picked up by one of those American home-movers and taken to any city in the world. It would stay exactly the same - bland, without character.
It's like McDonald's - you know what you get. There is no magic about it. It does not appeal to your senses but to your stomach. What's the verdict? For the same money, go to one of the hotels with character unless you're perfectly dull - in such case it's right for you.

NH Iru?a Park is situated in the suburbs of Pamplona, near green parks.
It have 12 floors and the view on the last floors are great. The rooms are quite nice with all amenities that NH have. Plasma TV, mini bar and 24h room service. The rooms are quiet and I think that people stay there to go to the famous Clinic of Pamplona University.
To city center you can walk: it's about 20-30 min away or you can get a taxi and it costs you ~4-5 euros and 5-10 minutes.

We stayed for two nights in June, 2007. The staff at reception are nice, but indifferent. The restaurant wait staff were indifferent to the point of neglect. The neighborhood is sterile. There is a cafeteria and McDonalds across the street, and not much else. I have paid a lot less in a lot more expensive cities in Spain for better hotels, so the value for money equation didn't work for me. The room itself is okay, but smaller than one would expect at a 4 star hotel. The bathroom was even worse. It is outdated, and has a shower with a terrible design that guarantees you are going to get wet if you turn it on. The internet service costs17 euros for 24 hours (10 euros for an hour), and there are upload, download and usage limits. That's bogus in my mind. If you are a discerning traveler, stay somewhere else.

Hola,
