Definitely the best hotel that we've stayed in.
Our 3 day stay included complimentary transfers from/to the airport, in a Lexus 4x4, very nice! And the service just kept getting better, nothing was any trouble, from dining recommendations to dropping us at a winery and then calling back later to collect us, a round trip of about 30kms each time.
The room was exquisite, beautifully furnished. And fabulous breakfasts!! Guests are made to feel special and very welcome.

The Spire was an amazing place. The room was spectacular with designer furniture, a very large and comfy bed, a large bath/shower (with a window into the bedroom that opens over the bath) and a separate walk in closet. The non-alcoholic items in the mini-bar are complementary. The complimentary breakfast was great.
But not only was the room amazing, the service was spectacular - they were extremely helpful in organizing activities for us and giving us advice about Queenstown.
The Spire also has a high end restaurant - Inspire. The food is good, but it doesn't quite get to the level I would have expected.

Please don't make me choose between the heated floors, the view of snow-capped mountains from my bed, open fireplace (at flick of a button) or the surround sound entertainment system with over 8,000 songs to choose from.
These are just a few memories that spring to mind, all of which contributed to the most memorable and romantic getaway I have had in a very long time. It was my virgin voyage to Queenstown and I assure you, if I can manage to stay at the Spire again, I will be back in a heartbeat.
How exactly the staff managed to time the turndown service (which I might add, instead of chocolates one night, included a range of New Zealand made body lotions/potions) and any other servicing of the room, in the short spell that we did manage to drag ourselves from the hotel room, was most surprising and impressive !?
Speaking of little touches which made impact, the EVOLU range of cosmetics, in place of the usual nasty hotel shower gels/moisturiser etc. was of really high quality, so much so, that I ended up sourcing the larger sizes at the airport as I left.
This 10 suite hotel costs top dollar, but irrelevant really in my book. Collection from the airport by the lovely General Manager Mel Bohse, is yet another perfect touch and all part of the service.
I could go on, and reminisce some more, but in brief, THE SPIRE (and Queenstown) took my breath away and had me smiling for the entire stay. I highly recommend this chic and sexy hotel, and have stayed in my fair share of hotels around the globe.
Enjoy!!!

The Spire Hotel was great. Trendy and chic - only ten rooms. Service was perfect. It's a great hotel in a great town. They took good care of us and made us feel very welcome. I have more pictures and more info on my site Bombastic Life - just do a search for The Spire Hotel, Bombastic Life and you can find it. There is information on other hotels and reastaurants there too.

I will be brief for now, but The Spire is the BEST hotel I have stayed in by far--and I have stayed in many top-rated hotel around the world.
The staff was too good to be true. They accommodated every request beyond what was expected. The rooms are superb, the location can't be beat...trust me on this, if you are going to Queenstown, stay at The Spire your first night...you will not want to leave...expect to cancel any reservation you have at another location. You will be so dialed in to the town that you will feel like you are a celebrity.
This was the best vacation of my life--and The Spire staff played an enormous role.
