I have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 summers and each time was better than the last. The staff is more than accomadating and extremely friendly. I booked a total of 3 rooms that were identical but prices do fluctuate due to the closeness of the arrival date. I booked these rooms at different times and without hesitation the attendant honored the lowest price. This place is fun with tons of Water activity and is highly recommended.

We just returned from the Landmark and had a pretty nice stay. We were lucky enough to get one of the newly remodeled rooms and it was very nice and clean.
The elevators were a little slow at times and sometimes when they would get to our floor they would be jam packed with people that we had to wait another 5 minutes for the next elevator. The food at the pub was good, although they were a little understaffed as they only had one waitress working. The snack bar also had good food, but again they were understaffed as we waited in line for 20 minutes. The outside bar was nice and all the frozen drinks were awesome.
We had a partial ocean view and enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony every night and enjoying a bottle of wine. The location of this hotel is great as it is right on the beach. I would come here again and I will make sure to request a recently remodeled room.

We have been to the Landmark in years past and it was not too bad. When we have been in the past it was in the winter and they give you great deals like $35/night. Well, we just returned and this place was a freaking dump. I mean disgusting. We checked in at about 11 p.m. with two very tired and irritable children. We could not find any of the carts to carry your luggage all the way across the street from the parking deck. Nothing is marked so you have no idea where you're going and the place is totally confusing. They don't have signs to tell you that you need to take the elevator to the 4th floor if you want the parking deck from your hotel, but the 3rd floor if you are in the hotel going to the parking deck. The room was horribly dirty. Trash had not been emptied, there was sticky stuff all over the nightstand (which I might add never got cleaned the whole time we were there which was three nights), the carpets were filthy and obviously had not been vacuumed upon our arrival nor were they ever vaccumed the whole time we were there. They did not clean out the fridge from the previous person and there was stinking nasty Chinese food left in there which subsequently stunk up the whole room. I have actually never stayed in such a filthy hotel room.
We stayed in Room #1549. I had to call and wait for housekeeping to come up. The elevators are filthy and some are broken. One of the elevators in the parking deck never worked and the panels to show if the elevators are going up or down are messed up. Overall this place is a disaster.
I feel very cheated as this was our summer vacation, and I feel like we spent way too much on a dump. I could have spent the same amount or maybe a little more and gotten a really nice room somewhere else like the Anderson Ocean Club. I might add that we paid $145/night for the first two nights and $170/night for the last night. Total ripoff. The website looks good, but the place is nothing like it.
Landmark, we will never be back.

Upon arrival in Myrtle Beach, the weather was sunny, hot, and just splendid. That was until I arrived at the Landmark. The employees working at the front desk were short, and quite rude to us. The first complaint that we had was that we had requested an ocean front room to be above to the fifth floor, but were put on the second floor. The second floor is actually the main floor, so we had a view of the pool and not the ocean. We then left that room and requested to be moved elsewhere. We were put on the 14th floor where the hallways were musty and felt as if there was no air conditioning. We walked into the room and found a hole in the couch, ripped carpeting on the balcony, broken and dirty chairs on the balcony, mold on the air conditioner outside, and stained carpeting in the room. The only thing we used our room for was to look up other hotels in the phone book and try to make reservations elsewhere for the week. The entire hotel is confusing, dark, and old inside. In turn, we got our money back and stayed at the Breakers Resort for just about the same price. Please save the hassle of the refund process and taking time out of your beach vacation.. avoid this hotel!!

My husband and I just returned from the Landmark. We are both in our 20's without children. This is not the place to go for a couple’s get-a-way. I love kids, but I don't care for the ones who their parents can't control. The children are running around every where! They were swimming and splashing us in the hut tubs. They were running around the lazy river like it's a NASCAR track, knocking our floats around and pushing us into the walls. You can forget about relaxing! We didn't spend any time in the pools until after 8 at night. You would think a place with 10-14 pools, there would be some place you can hang out, but guess again.
The maids hardly ever came to our room. We had to call the front desk 3 times before we ever received any fresh towels. There was also something in our bathroom I was allergic to. I couldn’t take a shower without sneezing a million times. I finally had to buy some allergy medicine to make it through the week. The elevators take forever; we just used the stairs all week. I also wouldn't recommend people with small children to rent an ocean front room. We did and didn't get any sleep until 1 or 2 in the morning because people kept setting fireworks off on the beach. It was very loud and annoying.
