We stayed at the Solis Cambrian for a week in June on a half board basis. We thought the hotel was fabulous, modern and sleek with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help.
The food was amazing and both my partner and I tried dishes we wouldn't normally try and we fully recommend every dessert.
The spa and fitness factilities were top knotch especially the pools and saunas.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

As soon as you walk into this hotel in the Berner Oberland, you know it is not a Swiss hotel. It feels clinically teutonic. There isn't anything soft about it. Even the log fire in the entrance looks cold and uninviting - not something to sit in front of to get warm.
The surfaces in the restaurant are all hard and the sound is like eating in a railway station. The bedroom furniture is similarly hard and there was a really wierd picture of, what looked like a mad woman's face on the wall. We covered it up.
Having said all that, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were just wonderful, helpful, friendly and kind. They made up for the warmth that the building lacked.
And the food, the food was fantastic: some of the best pasta I have ever eaten. It was well cooked, well presented and served, again, by the super staff.
It cost us 1400.00chf for two nights and it was well worth it.

My partner and I stayed for a long weekend in Feb 2008. The hotel had just been refurbished and is very stylish. Reception area is large and pleasant. Large boot room. Our room had a great view over the valley. The bathroom was large enough with a great shower and well lit mirror. The mirror even had a heater so it did not steam up! The bedroom was a reasonable size, with flat screen tv, dvd player etc. Only one negative comment would be not much in the way of wardrobe space. Spa and pool can only be described as excellent. Breakfast was well above average, though we did not eat an evening meal in the hotel.
Nice bar area. Also has a lounge area with big sofas and views over the valley with bar service.
Staff all genuinely enthusiastic.
All in all, a very nice experience.
