What a disaster!!!! Just back from a 2 night stay here, and lets just say, falwty towers would of been better than our experience at dinner on saturday night!!!!
2hr and 10 mins for a 3 course meal, 40 mins for a bowl of soup and chicken liver pate, and they couldnt serve any bread, as they didnt have any!!! eventually the waiter brought some which he had to fight for he said!!!, then 40 mins for the worst beef stroganoff ive ever seen, which got sent back, then had to request something else to eat, as we were hungry. 4 other tables complained that night and the duty manager was run ragged, Have stayed there the previous year and had a fantastic stay, so was very surprised at the way the place was run and how much the menu had changed. Sunday nights dinner was better, but very disapointed in the choices. On departing on monday morning had a delightful conversation with the general manager, whom seemed very shocked and what the staff and chefs had got up to while he wasy away the weekend. He has informed us that it is due for a 3 million pound refit, so lets see
what happens. When you get them on a good day it is a lovely hotel in a nice peaceful setting, look beyond the decor as it will change. An enjoyable and unforgettable weekend that will stay with us forever lol

This hotel is shabby and in need of a facelift. The room was ok but in need of a makeover, the shower curtain had a musty smell, the television wouldn't move from channel 1, the mattress sagged and should have been binned. The carpets were taped up, threadbare, and the flooring had holes in same.
The breakfast was disgusting. Pale powdered scrambled eggs, sausages that were too hard to place a fork in, bacon swimming in fat ,and black pudding that tasted of fat. The toast was warm bread.
The spa in the leisure suite was out of use.
I complained to the duty manager who displayed extreme apathy.
Please don't waste your hard earned money on this hotel.

We booked this hotel as a sport's team with games in Dundee and it was perfect for what we required: cheap rate and a pool to rest our weary muscles in. However, reception obviously thought we must be lesbians, playing a team sport, so they didn't bother to twin our rooms, despite the person from our side who made the booking going over this in great detail the night before. Reception on the day did offer to room move any of us allocated doubles but after lugging wet kit upstairs (there were rumours of a lift), me and my room mate decided not to bother.
Also, the wee pool is nice enough but spaces are limited so be prepared to queue to be able to get in.
If management read this - some high level dusting may also be in order. Maybe most guests don't notice the cobwebs on the weird chandelier but they screamed lazy housekeeping to me.

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel forfour nights, we were very pleased at the service that was provided and the friendliness of the staff.
There were a few startingproblams like the Iron was missing and which was most important to us, but was replaced within no time.
The breakfast was a great variety, you could have as much as you liked, which set us up for the day.
Only one coment hat I have left feed back on is that there is no lifts, there is adequate room to put a lift, which would I am sure would help the Hotel more.
We were more than happy, and would like to say a big Thank You to all staff, and hope to return in the near future.

Just returned from weekend break with friends at this hotel. Had a great time at this hotel, food first class with a good choice on menu, nobody in group had any complaints. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a bit small but very clean, could maybe do with some redecoration but nothing too bad. Leisure pool very small but big enough for short stay.
Would definately recommend to others for weekend break.
