We stayed with Park Suites for 3 weeks renting room E01
Great room, quiet (relatively) and good room size (1 bed suite)
We had a few inital issues eg no kitchen utenciles , pans, opener, cooking dishes etc.
However when asked they did provide.
Until we discovered our theft , we would have said 'a great place to stay and fabulous value for money. Even the pool , which initally looks a bit of a desert, gets sun and was very pleasent to spend a sunny afternoon reading abook. So all in all staff were friendly , would help when asked, not exactly proactive but responsive to requests, and they worked hard on the front desk.
So when we lost our brand new ipod, walking from the pool to the room , we just couldnt understand it ? We were convinced we had brought it into the room and as we only had swim things on and a towel there was no where to hide it, but just didnt relate that it may have disapeared from our room.We told reception and asked them to check with housekeeping, but got very little response. Anyway hacked off we left it at that. It was only when we had left and arrived at our final destination we realised that a number of things that we hadnt been using had gone: Sat Nav, and mobile phone charger plus off course our ipod. I wrote to park suites from New zealand and explained what I think had happened that was 2 weeks ago and as yet no one has even responded. So be careful its a good place to stay but the Argentina curse is alive and well at Park Suites. Use the safe and lock away any valuables out of site.

The hotel has a great location, the pool although not amazing was adequate and very welcome in the baking Mendoza heat.
The room was rather old fashioned, heavy carpets and even heavier bedspread. Fittings were imperfect - wardrobes and doors didn't shut properly and the fridge was never cold - the kitchen area was not useable.
We had a problem with the air conditioning - as there was no remote control. We advised the reception the evening we arrived but there was no response that night or over the following days. We had to complain to get it resolved.
All that aside, the breakfast was nice - though the staff were often under pressure to keep the stocks replenished!
Good place to explore Mendoza - very close to the market in Independencia - and the bars.

On the upside, the location is great and it is easy to walk to many restaurants. Unfortunitly during our 4 night stay, we ran out of hot water twice. Apparently, you are only allowed 15 minutes of hot water. Make sure to use the provided toileries conservatively as they do not replenish during your stay. Also a king size bed is basically two single beds pushed together with metal bar in the middle. Don´t plan on getting too cuddly! Breakfast is provided, but is basically bread, pastries and yogurt. All things considered, the hotel is on the less expensive side so if you don´t take long showers, and care about the quality of the room, it is in a good location.

We too booked this hotel based on their high Trip Advisor ratings and the pictures on their website. It was an utter disappointment, and we checked out after one (uncomfortable) night. Some of the "highlights":
1) Hotel rate: We had booked our room via Expedia and when we arrived and were checking in/registering, we were quoted a different rate at the front desk. After much conversation and a calculator, the front desk said they'd "look into it" and get back to us. That never occurred.
2) Room: After looking at the website and other photos of the hotel, we were expecting a bright, clean, modern hotel room. We got a dingy, dim, dark room with horribly pervasive smell. As soon as we entered the room and were hit by this odor, we asked for another room. We were asked (literally): "What's the problem?" - sufficed to say, the front desk was neither accomodating nor understanding. They did send someone up to clean the room and attempt to mask whatever the smell was, but it did little but add a faintly bleachy overtone to the smell. On top of that, the bathroom/shower was mildewy and not clean.
We checked out the next morning and into the Villaggio Hotel - which was much, much better.
