The hotel is located right next to the train station, which makes it easy for arrival and departure by train. Free tram rides for Documenta XII ticket holders (but they don't check anyway). Really a no-nonsense business hotel, with no air conditioning, but evenings are cool enough. Don't hear much of the trains, even though it's situated right about the sunken tracks.
Haven't tried their breakfasts, but don't look good either. Staff was not TOO helpful, but didn't expect them to be anyway. There's a supermarket and some cafes and bakeries in the strip mall in the Train Station. Makes it easier for quick breakfasts and stocking up for daily needs.

Stayed here so as to visit Documenta 12. A medium sized chain hotel behind the railway station. We had a good deal that included free transport tickets for the city, but not breakfast which looked terrible anyway. However the toilet didn't flush and although we complained the hotel did nothing about it. To add insult to injury the hotel locked us out of our rooms two hours before we were due to checkout. Would not reccomend at all.

Stayed here for two nights. A bit of confusion because they had my reservation for 1 person when I had reserved for two. Then I was sent to a room which wasn't made up. Finally I was sent to a clean room. Rooms are small by US standards, but nicely furnished. Bathrooms are nice with great hardware. Our room faced the front of the hotel and had a fair amount of traffic noise, including tour buses leaving at 7am with people talking loudly. The front desk said the other side was just as noisy and after already having changed once I didn't feel like moving again. No A/C and no window screens and no cross ventilation. Room became quite hot during the day as the sun shone in. Was comfortable but buggy at night. Very nice breakfast included in my 63 euro per night rate. Tram and bus passes were also included, but, since we were there for a wedding we didn't use. Very close to the ICE train station (easy easy walk).

Great place and location is the best

This is a great Hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and the best Location in Kassel. The Die Bahn (Train station) is 500 feet away. But it is not loud, seedy, or anything you would think in USA. This place is the perfect place for any trip to Kassel. Great walking to markets, resturants, malls, taxis, trains :), and anything else you could ever need there.
