Just returned from an excellent week of skiing in Courmayeur which has much more going for it than the normal ski resort offers.
Hotel Jumeaux (annex) has an unsurpassed location, right next door to the main 133 person gondola which takes you to the first ski level (where you can hire ski gear etc).
Hotel rooms were spacious with good bathrooms but struggling to live up to the 4 star rating.
The big problem was the food and food service. Just how this standard of hotel with such a superb location can offer such poor food is beyond me. Stay bed and breakfast ONLY.
We were 'forced' into eating at the:
Pierre Alexis
Caldran Solaire
Petit Bistro - all excellent !
The American bar is good fun too..

Stayed for 3 nights on a girls ski-ing trip. Nice staff, good reception and very comfortable, spacious room. Good breakfast and excellent position for the ski-life (just at the back of the hotel) and handy for the town, which is lovely. Unfortunately the food in the restaurant in the evening is not good - and was sent back by us all. We were in Italy so why didn't they just serve good, hearty Italian food - very disappointing. I would stay there again but probably only on bed & breakfast as there are plenty of nice places to eat in the town.

Good quality hotel reasonable value for money. Food very good. About 5 - 10 minute walk to the village for apres ski. But ideal location for the main ski lift up to the slopes approx 2 minutes. In the village plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.

I stayed here on 2 separate occasions on business and ended up in the same room each time. It was perfectly adequate but quite dated. The furniture is pretty cheap (plastic garden chairs at the table inside) but the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also fine, clean, a bit dated but perfectly adequate. The breakfast buffet again was fine, nothing special. Despite the "averageness" of it all I would probably return as it was quite charming and felt like it was in keeping with the Alpine setting.
