Reasonably priced hotel (c.?70 per room inc. breakfast) in very good location with easy walk to Deak Ter transport interchange, St. Stephens Cathedral, main synagogue and the Opera House. Clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and generally in good condition, though some maintenance work needed (showers especially, in both rooms we’ve stayed in, and lifts very slow). Many (all?) of rooms on 4th (top) floor have high ceilings and only skylights – to open/close requires a long pole of which there only seems to be one in the hotel!
Staff generally helpful and friendly with good English spoken. Breakfast buffet fairly good, although thin orange juice and awful coffee (go next door to ‘Mosaik’ for a proper one). Evening meals pricey and not so good (although we were told the steaks were better). Bar area soulless.

Bit of a scam

I had booked 6 rooms at this hotel for 14 on us, but when we arrived were told that the rooms had been flooded so we would have to move to another hotel.
This seemed unlikely that all 6 rooms would be flooded so we asked to see one of these rooms. The management refused this request, so we decided to play hardball and ask for our money back rather than go to an inferior hotel of there choosing, after about 30minutes of arguing with the manager are rooms sudenly became unflooded and we were allowed to stay.
All seemed very fishy to me.
Anyway the hotel itself was okay, definetly not 4 star though, the breakfast was also quite nice.
Not a 4 star

An OK hotel rather short on any aethetics and almost institutional with long windowless corridors painted yellow with liittle to break them up.
When I asked why I had a kettle and cups but no coffee/tea I was told I had been upgraded and therefore wasn't entitled to any! Not how to impress a customer.
Location is good for the opera house and Andrassy St but not for the main shopping in Vaci and the Danube.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Donattela's italian about 200 mts to the left is worth a visit
About a 2 star in the UK.

Similar problem to "billokay" was told their as extensive flooding on the 3rd and 4th floors and that we where being told we were moving. When I said i didn`t believe him and asked to see the room he said he could not . I refused to move as I had already pay over the odds for this 4* hotel (which it aint) months ago. I simply said I wanted a full refund or my original rooms. In the end they didn`t give me the rooms I booked. But settled with what they offered, no compensation was offered either. Apart from that the Hotel was clean well located and breakfest was good. On the down side for ?120 per (Twin) per night was very expensive for a hotel with such poor facilities. 4* hotel it aint. Good 2* may be 3 at a push. But they are still cheeky Bas*ards. They take as many booking as they can. Then when they are full they then sell your bookings on to their friends no doubt at a discount. All Beware of the phantom flood... On another note not related to the hotel in any way.. The Taxis in Budapest are well dodgy as well, always get a price first

This so-called 4-star hotel certainly does not conduct itself as such. For our entire stay, (5 days) one of the two tiny elevators in the hotel was out of order. Also, there were several maintenance items in my room that I asked to be attended to (light not working, heat problems, plumbing issues) that were never addressed during our stay. Additionally, the condition of my room was marginal at best…stained carpeting, chipped plaster, one uncomfortable wicker chair that looked to be a garage sale special and lighting that precluded any rational attempt to read in the room. Hotel Internet facilities were also problematical with one of the two available terminals in the lobby being frequently out of order. Again, the hotel staff was indifferent. I usually stay at 2 or 3 star hotels and find them very adequate and in many cases superior to the Domina Hotel Fiesta. My point is that if this hotel is supposed to be a 4-star rated establishment and charges accordingly, it needs to meet a higher standard than we encountered during our stay there.
