We stayed for a week at this recently opened hotel. Overall it was a pretty good experience but it was showing signs of still getting up to speed.
We had a two bed duplex apartment on the 1st floor which was tight on space but clean and well equiped. The small kitchen area came complete with dishwasher, oven/microwave & set of pots and pans etc.
We were located pretty close to the pool area which meant that you did get a bit of noise from the corridor. We had to call down to reception at 23:00 one evening as the pool / corridor was being used as an impromptu creche, but this was quickly resolved by the staff.
The pool was small but nicely formed and was always warm and welcoming. You also had an indoor hot tub, sauna and steam room. We did get puzzled by the step ladders left in the middle of the pool one day (was it subsequently closed, was it kids playing......)
The hotel is situated on the hill to Mont D'Arbois ski station and is a few minutes away from the village centre by car. The hotel provides a free shuttle car to and from the village on request. The drivers were great and nothing was too much trouble although when it was 'peak' time i.e. when the slopes were closing you could be given anything up to a 60 mins collection time - even then you weren't guaranteed a place in the car as it became somewhat of a free for all when the hotel cars appeared at the pick up points.
You can walk it from the village in about 15 to 20 mins but be warned there are a few killer inclines to get up.
We arrived circa 1pm on Saturday to be advised that our room would not be ready for a few hours yet. We headed into the village and returned at about 17:30 only to be told again that the previous occupants had checked out late meaning the room was still not ready. We were given free drinks in the bar and noticed that there were a few other English families in the same position (as I say, I still think they are working through teething problems).
The hotel provides ski locker within the underground car park which was great, but was a bit of a handful lumping the gear to and from - plus its not exactly well sign posted. I think we had to ask three or four staff members as to where it was and only found it when one of the shuttle drivers actually took us there.
The TV channels were mainly French with BBC World News being the only English language station
Overall it was a nice experience, the staff were warm and friendly despite the late check in and all requests for extra robes, toiletries, bin bags, fix a leaky tap etc were all no problem.
Megeve had some good skiing the week we were there but the village was pretty expensive and limited for non skiers. We rubbed shoulders with obviously affluent Swiss, Italians and Parisiens all intent on being seen rather than hitting the slopes which is great if you're there to ski !!
