I'm currently staying at this hotel often (2-3 times a month) and it's excellent with friendly staff, nice modern rooms with comfortable beds and everything you will need.
Good restaurant with a varied set price menu and a very good breakfast buffet.
The gym, sauna, swimming pool / jacuzzi are a bonus and included in the rate.
I have never used the conference facilities but they all look first class.
Bear in mind....
In the village of Ettington, a short walk away, there are two Pubs, If you want more than this, Banbury is 15 miles drive away.

We were in the Ettington Chase Hotel last week for a two night stay.
The hotel is nice with friendly staff, though it could be more geared to the tourist trade. The Breakfast was buffet style and was very good, though it ended early at 9am which again I think is geared more for those attending a confrence. We would have preferred to have a leisurly late breakfast as we wanted to chill out for the couple of days we were there. Overall though I would recommend this Hotel as it is close to Stratford. I would also recommend "The Chequers" in the village (which is less than 5 minute walk from hotel) for Dinner in the evening. We dined there both nights because the standard of the meals were very high. We didn't need to book either nights but think it would probably be best to do so,as we nearly didn't get a table on the second night. We also went to the White Horse for a drink but didn't like the look of the place for a meal as the dining area looked very basic, but that of course doesn't mean the meals weren't lovely. We prefer to dine in nice surroundings and the Chequers was ideal as it looked nice and the food was absolutly delicious!

saw good reviews on this website so decided to give it a go. The location is ideal for trips to Stratford on Avon, and Warwick Castle. Buy your ticket for Warwick Castle from the tourist info. in Stratford and save ?4.00 each on the entry fee.
The village is smart and we would recommend the Chequers Inn as a good restaurant rather then the pub based meals of the White Horse who dont serve food on Mondays.
The Hotel itself is definitely run mainly for conferences and whilst it is good value and friendly the service in the restautant was a shambles. The staff received no directions we were left standing in the door way for 10mins, ordered coffee for 2 and received one tea and one coffee, the food had gone by 8.30 a.m. so we had to wait 15mins for a 'top up',no one was clearing tables, this happened on both mornings of our stay that said the dinner at night( appart from the mix up with the wine... white came after we ordered red) was delicious and served promptly.
We decided that having heard other guests complaining that we would say what we thought, nicely, on checkout, the receptionist was pleasant and efficient and asked if would mind speaking to the female duty manager. We agreed, and along came a gentelman, who listened and took notes so perhaps this little hickup will be sorted for your stay.
We still enjoyed the hotel, and made use of the ammenities it offered, the games room the gymnasium and the pool, and would still consider going back.

A Decent Conference Experience

I was here on business, as a conference facility it was fine, not too sure I would have liked it for a holiday break. The public areas are spacious, lots of natural daylight and plenty of seats. There is a courtyard in the middle providing smoking facilities. During a conference the public areas are kept fully stocked with complimentary tea, coffee, water, fruit juice, diet coke, nuts, fruit - a whole host of goodies which was excellent. The pool was pleasant, functional rather than spa like. Rooms were modern and had all you need for a busines trip, nothing too glamorous. Breakfast was average with the usual basics but I found the food at lunch and in the evening to be bland. Overall good conference facility, I would return for this purpose rather than for a holiday.
