Have stayed at this hotel on a couple of previous occasions so was looking forward to a stay in what had always been a relaxing hotel - not luxurious but comfiortable and in a pleasant location. So we were disappointed to find on our arrival that there was a mechanical rock breaker working full time next to the swimming pool and then workman proceeded to bash the adjacent building to pieces. Naturally we compained and were upgraded but this didn't solve the fundamental problem of the hotel being rebuilt around us. Eventually we moved to a different hotel. There was no information provided to us about this reconstruction work either when we booked or when we checked in - the hotel were obviouly trying their luck but they have lost a customer. Be very careful when making reserrvations here.

Great stay @ Orchidacea

Hey, We stayed at the Orchidacea Resort for two weeks in Nov 07 and loved it. Although this hotel was only a 3 star the standards were very high. service and food were great.Very, very friendly staff who couldnt do enough to help you out.Hotel was also very clean and tidy.Rooms were cleaned and linen changed every day.The hotel is also in a perfect location for getting to Kata beach and Kata Noi beach. The only thing I would say about this hotel is that the superior rooms are much much better.I would deffinatley recomend this as when we checked in we were in a standard room but upgraded to a deluxe for a very small cost.The Deluxe was much better with a bath and shower, a seperate seating area and also the furniture quality was much better. cant really fault anything about this hotel would deffinatley go back 10/10

This hotel ruined our stay in Phuket,they told us our rooms air con had broken down and asked us would we stay in rooms which resembled staff quarters for 1 night and they would upgrade our rooms to pool view the next day with free dinner and free massuage.The following day we where put in normal rooms and not pool view as we where told,when we pointed this out we where told that they did not say pool view which they did and they then let slip that they had over booked due to internet problems and not the broken air con!It was also apparent that other guests where also staying in the rooms which resembled staff quarters after us!After many stays in Phuket this is also the only hotel where we had to ask for our room to be cleaned as they seemed to forget to clean it! Watch the badly designed guttering on the buildings also as they over hang and twice i banged my head on these one made a gash on my head!Basil Faulty springs to mind about this hotel and we would not stay there again for free!
