We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sari Konak. The management and staff made us feel so welcome that it was really a "home from home" . Nothing was too much trouble for them. We are a family of 4 and we stayed in a beautiful suite which was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The Hotel is very well situated - only a short walk to the Blue Mosque, Hoghia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. It is also within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I went to Istanbul with my mom for a week. The Sari Konak Hotel made my stay in Istanbul absolutely wonderful. The hotel could not have been better. Everything about it was great. We were welcomed into the hotel very graciously by the wonderful staff. The two brothers who run the hotel are so kind and helpful. And the people at the front desk are always eager to give any advice or support. If you are taking a taxi somewhere from the hotel, ask the people at the hotel how much your ride should cost. We got scammed pretty badly because we didn't know how much the taxi fare would be at one point. Always check that the meter is on before you go anywhere. I got very sick while I was at the Sari Konak, and one of the owners sent me to his English speaking doctor. I was prescribed medicine and everything turned out to be okay. But I don't know what I would have done if the nice people at the hotel hadn't helped me. Not only are the people at the Sari Konak great, but so is the hotel itself. The location is perfect. It is just a couple minutes away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. The view from the hotel roof is incredible. You have a clear, beautiful view of the Blue Mosque. My blue mosque pictures from that roof are some of the best from my trip. The rooms are nice, too. The air conditioning saved my life in the summer heat. But know that the sink water is not potable so you have to brush your teeth with bottled water. Our favorite part of our stay were the memorable breakfasts. We ate outside every morning next to an ancient wall covered in vines. The breakfast was fantastic. Three kinds of bread, eggs, tomato, cucumber, dried fruit, granola, yogurt, cereal, thin slices of meat, fruit, and probably much more that I can't think of. And while they say that breakfast ends at 10:00, a few days we finished at 11:00 and no one seemed to mind. We love the Sari Konak! I guarantee that you will have a fantastic stay there!

If you are looking for a small, clean hotel in a convenient area, this is the hotel for you. Not only are the rooms well-appointed, but the staff is extremely knowledgable as well. When my husband experienced a medical problem, the manager quickly referred him to a fine medical center and was able to get him an appointment for that morning. He also made sure the cab driver knew where we were going. All of the staff are friendly and caring. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel to travelers to Istanbul.

Stayed at Sari Konak for 5 nights. Great location - quiet area but close to sights, restaurants etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. We loved the roof terrace for its views, and a beautiful place to sit in the evening. Call to prayer in the early hours is shockingly loud the first time you hear it but we got used to it. Rooms OK - clean and well maintained. Breakfast good. Highly recommended.
