I stayed here on a business trip for only one night. The hotel was comfortable, large room, good bed and bath room. Very friendly and efficient front desk staff. It is a typical business hotel. I did not recognize the problems that were mentioned by other travelers: my stay was very pleasant. NH Hoteles Maastricht is very conveniently located with the railway station (Maastricht Randwijck), university and MECC Convention Centre only a few minutes walk away. The disadvantage is of course that it is far away from the beautiful old Maastricht city centre. So if you are a tourist I would recommend to find a hotel more close to the city centre.

La chambre était vraiment bien, avec beaucoup d’espace, très propre et bien aménagée. Peut-être que les choses ont changé à cet hôtel depuis, si j’en juge par les autres commentaires plus récents, mais en tous cas j’y ai eu un très agréable séjour.

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of colleagues at University of Maastricht for a visit a little while ago. The room was really nice, lots of space, very clean, well turned out. Maybe something has happened since I stayed there judging by the other recent reviews, but my stay was very pleasant.

As noted by others my advice would be to stay here only if you're attending a meeting at the nearby convention center. I booked a "delux" room directly with the hotel to avoid the standard room problems noted previously. The room was ok and the staff were helpful and reasonably friendly. However, I had hoped to use the fitness facility only to find that it was open at varying times depending on the day of the week (never early when I needed to use it) and cost 9 euros per visit....so no workout. Internet access was available by wireless in my room paying for either a 2 hour, one day, or one week use period. If I was coming to Maastricht again for a meeting I'd probably stay here but otherwise I am quite sure you can do much better elsewhere and be much closer to the city center which would be much more interesting.
