This hotel gets two stars instead of one because of the convenient location and free parking.
The room was disgusting. There were no pillows on the bed (really? how could you forget this?) and stains all over the carpet. The bathroom was old and dingy with a broken toilet. Even after telling the front desk about the problem, we came back that night to a still-broken toilet. Horrible.
And, as all the other reviews mentioned, there is no air conditioning, so if you're visiting during the summer, be prepared.

My wife and I stayed at the Heritage Marina Hotel two nights in April.
We were worried about the lack of security of our room. There are no window screens and anyone from a neighboring room can enter through your window on a hot night.
I had to cancel my AMEX Card 3 months later because Heritage Marina Hotel IDENTITY THIEVING EMPLOYEES RANG UP $1551.36 on my card on Live Adult Phone SEX. They called from [--], [--], and [--].
We do NOT RECOMMEND THE HERITAGE MARINA HOTEL
because of lack of security of the rooms and of the identity theiving employees.

Need I say more? OK then I will. No air conditioning, no screens on windows (which do not lock) smoking in non smoking rooms, no hot water, Run and run fast from this hotel. They were rude and obnoxious when I checked out two hours after checking in.

One finds a few positive reviews on the Expedia website for this nightmare hotel, and I am completely convinced that they are all submitted by shills for this place, because no one checking into this place would want to do anything but turn around and run as fast as they could. The outside looks fine (as do the totally deceptive pictures on their website,) but once you get inside the halls, elevator, and then to your "room", you will think you have walked into hell. Horrible is all I can really call it. Filthy rooms, broken bathroom fixtures, bloodstains on chairs, smell of urine, piles of garbage everywhere, druggy looking guests, bugs, no air conditioning - even the WifiI is "provided" by some other neighboring establishment, conveniently creating an internet hotspot for the hotel to advertise as being theirs. And what did we do to deserve all this? Looking for a slightly (and believe me, only 'slightly") better deal on accommodations in a very pricey part of town? My wife and I called another hotel (an excellent Comfort Inn two block toward the wharf) and checked out of the "Heritage House of Horrors" right away. As we were only there for about ten minutes, Expedia, which is generally excellent, did the right thing and gave us a refund, which was great, but they should not be selling packages for this hellhole to anyone. This place should be closed down by the police and the Board of Health! No one should have to walk into this horror show, expecting a nice stay in a hotel! Read the other stories posted here and elsewhere and take heed! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!
