I stayed in Ipanema Park with my family and it was the best and most relaxing holiday ive ever had, we wanted for nothing during our stay, the pool was fantastic and had a wonderful view of the town while in it. The apartment was spotless and the chamber maids were so chatty and polite. The bar staff made everyone feel at ease and in general couldnt be more helpful to everyone. I would definately return to Ipanema park hopefully later on this year.

El hotel está bien, para ser un 3 estrellas en Arenal. De hecho, lo pasé genial en Mallorca, es hermoso. Arenal es una ciudad muy ruidosa, pero si estás listo para aguantar los grupos de alemanes de 17 y más, sería el lugar perfecto para ti. Lo que quiero decir es que a algunos les parecería algo agresivo, mientras que otros disfrutarían del ambiente tan animado. Eso no afectó mucho mi estancia, pero te aviso que los alemanes y holandeses andan por las calles en la noche y no se van a la cama hasta cerca de las 6.30am. Dicho eso, el Ipanema es sin duda un lugar para familias y parejas de veinte y treinta y tantos años, y las fuerzas locales también se presentan. Así que no hay jóvenes alemanes ruidosos en el hotel. Las camareras de piso son agradables, los camareros (de hecho las damas) son más o menos serviciales, la comida te aburre después de un tiempo, pero puedes mantenerte con un régimen sano, con muchos vegetales frescos, pescado por las noches y huevos revueltos en la mañana. Lo único que no comprendí fue el desayuno con frijoles y tocino. Las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado. Desgraciadamente, puedes oír a tus vecinos y tus vecinos pueden oírte. Es mejor si puedes conseguir una habitación que mire hacia la calle, y en un piso de arriba, creo que las habitaciones que terminan en 0, como 120 ó 420 están bien, ya que tienen sólo 2-3 adyacentes, en lugar de 4, dependiendo del piso en el que estés. La piscina es pequeña, pero razonable, no estaba muy llena, quizás sólo en las tardes. Los baños son pequeños, y no son exactamente como los del Ritz, pero son aceptables. Esta parte de Arenal está bien, ya que no está exactamente en el distrito alemán (¿o sí?) y no es tan ruidoso como las otras zonas, tal como cerca de la playa. Quizás el hotel Belgravia, en el lado opuesto a la calle, está mejor, si tienes una habitación mirando hacia el bosque. Eso, si en ocasiones quieres dormir cómodamente.

The hotel in itself is kindof allright, for a 3 star in Arenal. I actually had a great time in Mallorca, its beautiful. Arenal is a very noisy town, but if you are ready to put up with hordes of 17+ germans, it would be the place for you. All i am saying is that some might find it a bit aggressive while some would enjoy the lively atmosphere. This fact did not affect my stay all that much, but be advised that dead stoned germans and dutch are patrolling the streets during the night and they go to bed at, like, 6:30 a.m. That said, the Ipanema is definitely more of a place for families and couples in their 20's 30's, and local forces also represent themselves. So no loud german teens in the hotel. The cleaning staff is nice, the waiters (waitresses actually) are more or less helpful, the food is sort of boring after a while but still, you can follow a healthy diet, with lots of fresh vegetable, fish in the evenings, and scrambled eggs in the morning :-). The only thing I could not understand was beans and bacon for breakfast. The rooms are air conditioned. Unfortunately you can hear your neighbors and they can hear you. It is best to try to get a room facing the street, on an upper floor, I think rooms ending with 0, like 120 or 420 are okay, having only 2-3 adjacent ones, instead of 4, depending on which floor you are on. The pool is small but agreeable, not very crowded, maybe in the afternoon. Bathrooms are small and not exactly the Ritz, but acceptable. This part of Arenal is okay because it is not the very german district (or is it?)and is still not as loud as some other areas, like around the beach. Maybe the hotel Belgravia on the opposite side of the street can be even better, if you have a room facing the forest. That is if you are there to have a decent night's sleep sometimes.

Das Hotel ist eigentlich ok für ein 3 Sterne Hotel in Arenal. Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit auf Mallorca, die Insel ist wunderschön. Arenal ist eine laute Stadt, wenn Sie sich aber gerne unter eine Horde junger Deutscher mischen, dann nichts wie hin. Manche finden es ein wenig zu aufdringlich, andere mögen diese lebhafte Atmosphäre. Das hat meinen Aufenthalt aber nicht gestört. Hier laufen viele betrunkene Holländer und Deutsche herum, die erst gegen 6:30 Uhr ins Bett gehen. Das Ipanema eignet sich aber eher für Familien und Paare in den 20ern und 30ern, es gibt auch einige Einheimische, deshalb gibt es hier weniger laute Teenager. Die Putzfrauen sind sehr nett, die Kellnerinnen sind mehr oder weniger hilfsbereit, das Essen wird nach einiger Zeit recht langweilig, man kann sich aber halbwegs gesund ernähren und frisches Gemüse, Fisch essen, sowie Rühreier am Morgen:-). Das Einzige, was mir weniger zugesagt hatte waren die Bohnen und der Speck zum Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind klimatisiert. Leider können sie ihre Nachbarn gut hören und die sie auch. Sie sollten nach einem Zimmer zur Straße hinaus in den oberen Stockwerken fragen (Nr., die mit 0 enden wie 120 oder 420). Hier bekommt man weniger zusammenliegende Zimmer. Der Pool ist klein aber ausreichend und wenn dann nur am Nachmittag recht voll. Die Bäder sind klein und nicht gerade wie im Ritz, aber akzeptabel. Dieser Teil von Arenal ist ok und es ist hier nicht so laut wie in anderen Teilen und am Strand. Vielleicht ist das Hotel Belgravia auf der anderen Straßenseite etwas besser, wenn Sie ein Zimmer zum Wald gelegen bekommen. So bekommen Sie vielleicht mal eine gute Mütze Schlaf in der Nacht.
