I stayed at another NH before (in Berlin) and I found the same profile at the NH Leipzig Messe. Clean, comfortable rooms with a very good breakfast - except for the coffee. However, the NH chain has a few problems that might keep travellers away. The hotel is expensive and it becomes even more expensive if you use the internet. The wireless internet service is not free and the price is simply a ripoff. The hotel staff is not good at solving problems and the reception staff are robot-like. You are in or out. Any extra attention, any questions, etc. are met with a solid stern face.

The NH Hotel in Leipzig is not a hotel for tourists. Maybe it is perfect for businessmen as it is very close to the city Congress-Exhibition Center. We went in Leipzig for tourism and the location of the hotel proved a big problem for us. We used most of the time taxi to go to the center of the city paying every time about 15 Euros. There is a tram terminal "near" the hotel but it is about 15 minutes walking distance! The hotel itself is good. The room is not so spacious but clean. The interior was nothing special having a big problem with the curtains which were so extremely thin and every day we had to wake up at the sunrise as our room looked to the east. The people of the hotel spoke, most of them, "German" English which was a problem cause it took us two days to understand where the tram terminal was. No comments about breakfast or room service as we never had any. In general is a typical example of a faceless hotel meant for businessmen. If we ever return to Leipzig we would never stay in this hotel again. There are so many nice hotels in the center of the city.
