I cannot believe reading some of the reviews that some people thought this hotel was good. As soon as i arrived i thought id stumbled across the set of 'Life on Mars' The decor and furniture was pre 1970. The duvet had a stain on, no duvet cover, springs gone in the matress. The chair in the bedroom was something i used to sit on a primary school. It obviously broke when i sat on it. The water pressure in the shower was non existant. When i had breakfast the sausages were probably from Lidl. The cheapest you can buy. Disgusting. All for 60 quid! Should have stayed at the Premier Lodge or Travel Inn.

I came to Paddington hotel for a meal with my family. The hotel at first doesn’t look attractive from the outside but i thought it might get better. once we were in it looked decent, the bar looked cosy and nice, but the restaurant itself was a disappointment, it looked out of fashion and boring, I came here with my children but was disappointed by how much of the food had alcohol in it, the food was not cooked properly and not enjoyable at all.
Great hotel

Stayed at The Paddington House for three nights during a business trip to Warrington. I found the hotel to be great value for money and really think its under rated at 2*. The staff were nice and friendly and went out their way to ensuring I was well looked after. The food is well presented and of excellent quality. I will have no hesitation in booking my next stay at the Paddington when I'm next back in Warrington.

I've been staying at the hotel for a few weeks, whilst working in Warrington. The hotel's OK and the staff friendly. The room I've had is a double with a new bathroom but my gripe is that the matress on the bed needs changing. It's the same in other rooms. Basically, you can feel the springs through the matress cover.
The hotel is generally quiet although you can get 'white van man' turning up their TV. When I complained the night manager took prompt action. The breakfast is very good and the lady who serves, Mary, is always welcoming. The bar meal menu could do with a bit more variety but the portions and standard of cooking is OK.
I've found the reception and bar staff to be friendly and helpful.
The hotel doesn't pretend to be 5 star but is, generally, good at what it does and for what I pay I think it's OK.
