Very good location just 10 minutes walk into the city. Seamless check-in and check-out. Modern, well appointed room with great view across to harbour, bridge and opera house. Overall, everything you'd expect from a good 4* hotel.

Business hotel, cockroaches in our room

Fairly average hotel with a business feel to it. There's a cafe on the ground floor which sees a fair amount of business meetings, and a car park around the back (although there's plenty of parking places in the streets nearby). Busy, but competent, lobby.
Rooms were comfortable and fairly modern. Clean and comfortable beds, and the bathroom had a nice shower. Unfortunately one night we had a few cockroaches in the room - on the 21st floor. When we spoke to very, very nice housekeeping personnel, they explained they'd had a roach problem and had the exterminators in! Looks like they've still got a problem.
Didn't try the restaurant on the top floor as it looked overpriced and there's plenty of restaurants and bars across the road (2-min walk). In particular Bar Modena 88 (a quick google will tell you all about it) which has a wonderful atmosphere, good food and very friendly staff.
Oh, 5 minutes up the road (towards Kings Cross) seemed to be an impromptu red-light district at night. Very skanky and best avoided.

We stayed in this hotel on one of the busy weekends in sydney, the room had a "city view" well this was true however its only the case if you look with your face pressed against the glass of your window which doesn't open, and then you can only see two towers of the city.
When we arrived at 5pm we were told our room was not ready!!!! after traveling you don't expect to arrive 3 hours after the earlieast check in time to be told you'll have to sit and wait in reception, not an offer of a drink, something to eat or anything. When they eventually sorted a room out for us we were given a disabled room. this i'm sure would be fine if you needed these facilities, however in the bathroom we had nowhere to put anything, and the sinks were very low. We were not asked if we were ok having this room. when i went to complain at reception i was greeted by the standard apology and blank looks from the receptionist. she said she would have to talk to the manager, of course she never did, and nobody cared because they had our money, says it all!
the room itself was ok, the standards were good, room average size, the water in the bathroom was cold, which seemed like its a standard problem as the comment card in the room had been filled in by a previous guest.
hotel has a good location, close enough to walk to everything, but with so much choice i wouldn't bother, as if you have a problem they simply don't care.
