I have stayed at the Cambiaso serveral times. The owner has made a real commitment to improving and maintaining the hotel and I have seen the effects of his work over several years. The staff is efficient, courteous and effective. I had some trouble with my internet connection and the service person was committed and worked with me until the problem was solved. It was a minor glitch and I had no further problems.
I have stayed in a number of aparthotels in Santiago over the years, but this is overal the best. I have just made another reservation at the hotel for a two-week stay and am looking forward to it very much. For the price it is excellent value.

I recently spent a week at the Apart-Hotel Cambiaso and was very happy. The location is unbeatable: right in the heart of Providencia (corner of 11 Septiembre and Av Pedro de Valdivia). The apartments are in the same bldg. as the Hotel Neruda and 4 other ‘apart-hotels’.
Two of us stayed in the VIP suite which had 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, a separate kitchen, a small lounge and a huge wrap-around balcony with spectacular views of the Andes. I was able to negotiate a special rate directly with the hotel since we were staying a week. While we waited for our room to be ready upon check-in, they allowed us to use an “Executive” room which, though smaller, was also very comfortable. I didn’t see the Standard room. The staff are all extremely efficient and helpful, and there is one computer with free internet access in the tiny reception area on the 14th floor. If you need cooking facilities in Santiago, this is the place to stay as there are wonderful supermarkets and bakeries nearby (no breakfast included in rate). There is no visible sign for it on the street, so you'll have to look for the address carefully (side entrance next to Neruda Hotel).
