Most tourists in Istanbul focus on two areas to stay: Sultanahmet and Taksim. I was advised to stay near Taksim and it was definitely the right choice. Although there is a lot to see in Sultanahmet it is limited in the evening and Taksim is much more lively. The hotel was a good choice; there are quite a few hotels in this area and they all look of a good standard. Our room was huge and had all the comforts. Breakfast was good (a few hot things) and staff were helpful. We got as good night's sleep every night. One one thing to bear in mind is there is a lot of building work, it didn't really affect us as the rooms had good sound proofing. The price was really good and I don't know if the neighbouring hotels could match what we payed. Everything was fine for us. To get to Sultanahmet we found the funicular and tram the quickest route (you can easily spend half a day sat on a bus in the terrible traffic). Also consider the ferries as they are cheap and there's no congestion!!

The Feronya Hotel is one of many situated in the proximity of Taksim Square. It is within 5 minutes walking distance to Taksim Square, Istiklal Street and the Metro and Bus Stations. Although on a main road, it is quiet at night. The hotel is decorated in a modern yet retro fashion. Although the rooms are small, the hotel is very clean.....extremely important factor when choosing a place to stay. The breakfast room was also clean and organized and nicely deocrated. The breakfast itself was the same every day, but enough there to satisfy most appetites. Overall, if you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel and require many facilities, this hotel is a perfect stop to rest peacefully at night and feel safe and clean.

Esta muy bien situado, a pocos metros de la plaza Taksim.El personal del hotel nos trato fenomenal y fueron muy amables.El hotel esta muy limpio.El desayuno es bastante normal (sin muchos lujos).

Es ist ein einfaches Touristenhotel in einer einfachen Touristengegend. Ich würde es aber auf keinen Fall ein 4-Sterne-Hotel nennen. Wirklich nichts Besonderes am Hotel. Das Personal war freundlich, das Zimmer klein, aber sauber. Die Aussicht auf eine Baustelle war auch nicht gerade die schönste. Anständiger Preis, ich bin aber sicher, dass man was besseres findet, wenn man sich ein wenig umschaut.
