Read the reviews and was very apprehensive about this resort, however, having just returned I must say I was very impressed by this hotel. Rating with First Choice is 5 star but it's more like a good 4 star. Excellent ammenities but lacks 5 star service. Rooms were of good standard with daily maid service. However I feel that in the height of summer some rooms may be noisey eg those facing the Titantic Hotel. The chinese restaurant is excellent with a small charge of 10 euros. However disappointed with the buffet at meal times. Lack of variety and catered more for the Turkish and German guests. Saying that the Moon flower bar underneath was excellent for cakes. We visited in the Easter holidays and weather was very mixed. Not sure yet whether this is really a winter resort as the climate can change up until May. Would I go back....Yes but maybe later in the year, mid May onwards. Majority of Lara resort caters for Germans and Russians with English the minority, however, this isn't a problem. Tip would be to take Euro's as this appears to be the prefered currency. Indoor pool was good, so was the cinema and bowling for the children. The only down side was the buffet and only 1 English news channel on satalite TV. Lara itself does not offer many other ammenities except a few shops which are very expensive. If you want to buy take a trip into Antalya and visit the bazzars where you will find great bargins but be prepared to haggle
