Enjoyed our stay
Guest name: MBrutus, Tampa, Florida
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel La Bagatella for three days in October 2006. We really enjoyed our stay!!! The Hotel staff is excellent, and worked very hard to help us find a few lost relatives who lived on the island. We didn't spend much time in the hotel, however the room was huge by European standards, having just come from Paris it was fantastic. The Bath is very clean and roomy as well. The shower is managable, but small for a 240 lb atheletic build. Although it was the largest shower of our trip in many hotels in Europe. Our room also had a cute little balcony, which was perfect for a late night cigar and vino. The town of Forio is a short 10-15 min walk along the Bay and is very safe. We walked very late at night 2 am and never felt unsafe. Many resteraunts are close by with a large price spectrum. We found that price didn't matter as all of the food was very good. A little seaside resteraunt about 8 mins walk turn right out of the front gate is quite good and has a pleasant view. The pool is large and unheated, but there is a therme spa located beneath the hotel. We did not partake but heard it was excellent. Night was absolute quite (I'm afraid we were the loud guests) as most of the guests at the time were German. The staff speaks fluent English, German and of course Italian. Our family is spending a week on Ischia in May of 2007 and we plan to return to the Hotel La Bagatella. We would recomend this hotel for a quite comfortable relaxing stay. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of reception, room and staff. Very welcoming for an American Traveler.
