We stayed here for two nights. Our first night was in a room on third floor toward the back of the hotel. The room was very small, but comfortable. The big problem here was the noise, so we requested to move. The second night we stayed on the first floor in a room that had two beds, but was much larger than the room with the single bed. This room was very comfortable, and was quiet. The hotel does not have a full service restaurant, but did have a small "cafe" where they served a good complimentary breakfast. Cuenca was our favorite city and this hotel is in a perfect location for walking to all the great restaurants and the beautiful town center. We were travelling with a guide and driver. I think parking was an issue, and that they had to park in a lot that was several blocks away. I would check on the parking situation if you stay here and have a car

Hotel Carvallo is in a great location in the jewelry area of Cuenca, just down the block from the New Cathedral. It is on a busy street but none of that noise came into the hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included in the room price and was good. The rooms were very nice and the shower was the best I used in Ecuador. This hotel is geared more towards business travellers but we enjoyed it as part of our vacation and I would recommend staying here.
