Warning, do not go here, place is terrible, they overbook and send you to another dump, usually on a sat. The staff is rude, show no interest in the guests. They even kick you out of their chairs on their beach so they can rent to someone else, all these bad reviews are right and if anything its even worse, anywhere but here

as soon as we arrived we were told we would be staying in another hotel across town. we were given no explanation. later we found out they were overbooked. they did that to everyone who arrived that day according to other guests. we were put in a broken down suv and hauled accross town to a fleabag. we asked the driver if it was on the beach like the blue chairs. he said yes. actually it was about 5 blocks a way . we couldn't sleep that night for all the traffic under our window. the next day we were carted back to the blue chairs in the same broken down suv. no apologies from the front desk. later in the week while relaxing in the blue chairs nearest the ocean we were told by one of the waiters we had to move because our chairs were reserved. i complained to the manager. she apologized and let us return to our chairs. i think the waiters have a scam going with the chairs. like selling them under the table!! we will never stay there again. very rude people!! just after the buck!!

I stayed at Blue Chairs last year.Even though the place was not up to the standards I prefer,it was convenient.I decided to go back and spend the holidays there.I paid $1800.00 up front half on credit card rest in cash.Because of family crisis,I had to cancel my trip ,but they were giving me credit for the next year,2008.I made reservations in Febuary for the Memorial day weekend.I got my confirmation numbers and ready to go.Since I had over $1400.00extra credit,I had been calling to see if I could use part of that for food and drinks at the hotel.I got no response back from their booking agent,Blue Chairs Reservations ,in Camilla Ga.In fact the phone was disconnected.I finally got someone at the hotel direct and they told me that I had no reservation nor Knew nothing of past payments. They said I could rebook ,pay on credit card and they would see what they could do.I wouldn't drop another penny in that place.I wish I had read these reviews before I got stuck in this mess.I will get the money back from the credit card co ,I hope .But the cash is gone.Stay away from this sleeze bag hotel.THEY ARE CROOKS!!

The rooms suck! We had an ok time but paying for your room twice is not to cool. The staff was not helpful at all in regards to having to pay twice. The beach staff is great and so was the security guard who did everything. I would not stay at the hotel again but maybe go to to some of the roof top events. I don't really know why anyone would stay here it is not the best place to stay by far. We got to see a friends place one block away that was cheeper and so much nicer.

I recently (May, 2008) stayed at Blue Chairs resort and had a very unfortunate experience. I booked the reservation through their website 3 months in advance, was sent a confirmation, and then heard nothing more from them. Once I arrived at the hotel, I was told they no longer accepted reservation through their website because of a problem with the company. They knew of the problem and didn't bother to contact me. My credit card was charged for the confimed amount and then the second amount (which was different) when I had just traveled 1,000 miles and needed a place to stay. They wouldn't credit my account for the intitial amount and told me that I would have to dispute it with my credit card company when I returned home. Nice service, aye? The desk person told me that many people were experiencing the same problem. There are many other hotels in the area that still allow you access to the gay beach area, and I'm sure they practice better business.
