After booking this hotel was a little wary over the reviews of the hotel, Went there for two weeks just got back and had a fab holiday. Went with my husband and we wanted two weeks of doing nothing which happened. Staff were nice food nice although not many people there so only one restaurant open and the bar on the beach was still not open which was a shame as we are beach people and would have been nice to have got a drink. We had one tour out and the island of tobago is lovely. Beach was lovely as well.
Altogether this was great it is a 3 star hotel so if you want luxury you would have to upgrade to a 4 or 5 start but overall we had a lovely holiday and will certainly be returning to the island

When we arrived we were informed that there was no hot water or air conditioning, being in such heat that all you needed to hear after an 8 hr flight. It started working again that night, management did apologise for this happening.
Rooms- We had a garden view but you could still see the sea, which was nice. it was clean, although the patio doors did not shut properly, they did lock.
Beach Bar was not open, they were doing some work on it. The main place to eat was Ok, half way through the week it went from buffet to menu then back to buffet which was better. The view from the restaurant was lovely.
Staff were friendly and helpful, although there was one lady who thought it was too much of an effort to serve you. Not sure how she would cope if the hotel was busy.
There are lots of birds flying about, just dont leave your food on the table and walk away as they will be straight at your food.
The beach is OK, there was actually more animals on there than people.
This is a place to go if you just want to relax, it did us just fine.

We have just returned after a one weeks holiday at the Grafton. Arrived to a warm welcome and a nice rum punch. Our room was the garden view room with a wonderful sea view. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. Towels in the bathroom were a little on the small side. The first few days the food was good. Drinks and coctails excellant! Unfortunately the food from the 3rd day onwards was very poor, the food was served cold and tasteless. Even though the food was not very good, the bar and restaurant staff were very friendly. Overall the hotel is very nice and in a good location. The island of Tobago is very beautiful and well worth doing the jeep island tour with Ellis tours. We also did the island girl sailing tour which was also an excellant day out. We had a nice relaxing week in Tobago but unfortunately would not be an island that i would visit again.

Having read lots of reviews before we went to the Grafton I was worried aout what to expect. On arrival we were met by friendly staff and shown to our room. This was a good size and very clean, we also had a lovely view of the gardens and sea from our balcony. The room had a TV, fridge, safe, air conditioning and a balcony with table and 2 chairs.
The 2 restaurants were clean and most staff friendly. The food was good, sometimes lots of choice other times not much choice but all was hot. The Neptune restaurant over the pool is fantastic and Sandra the chef is very friendly. Service at the main bar was sometimes slow but great cocktails are served. The pool bar was mostly closed,
The pool is of a good size and nice and clean. There are lots of sun loungers around the pool and although some of the cushions were grubby they were comfy. There are also umbrellas to provide some much needed shade.
There was entertainment every night which was of good quality, although if staying for 2 weeks you see the same entertainment. As the entertainment is in the lobby/main bar area it encouraged people to talk and we made some great friends while staying here.
The games room is dated but has a pool table, darts, football table and air hockey. A good place to hide away from any rain showers.
Overall we had a great 2 weeks at the Grafton and would definetly go there again.
