if my air conditioning worked in the room ,it would have been better , sweltered in a stuffy noisy room overlooking the back street with kids and mothers yelling all morning ,while i tried to sleep .I dont really think the fitout of the rooms meets the appearance of the hotel ....
the restaurant was great - i booked late and told no reservation on the 2 nights i was there - but they found a table for me after i persisted - a wonderful dining experience which made my stay at the hotel . great courtyard and enjoyed people watching late in the day

I have to admit that I had high expectations when travelling to this hotel but my stay at the Villa Oniria was over the top.
THe location was great, the rooms are fantastic although maybe a little bit small. THe staff was very helpfull and friendly. We did not try the restaurant but it seemed to be quite good, maybe next time.
I will recommend this hotel to all my friends when visiting Granada, the city is fantastic itself and if you can combine your trip with this hotel your holiday will be fantastic!

Beautifully restored and decorated small "bistro style" hotel with a peaceful garden. Our room though not large never felt small - we overlooked the garden with a view of the tall palm tree and the sound of the fountains playing gently.
On asking if it was a first visit to Granada, the staff had no hesitation in producing a map to indicate and describe the best streets for tapas, view of the Alahambra, shopping, etc. They could not have been more helpful. My husband is a designer, as a couple we are often super critical particularly where something has clearly been "designed" but genuinely believe this to be one of the finest hotels where we have stayed in Spain and certainly rate it well above any we visited while staying in Granada.
I notice that other reviewers have commented on being charged for the Spa but this was not our experience. The staff seemed to genuinely want our feedback on how to improve the hotel so perhaps that has been taken on board.
In our view it was situated in a great central location - everywhere in the city within walking distance. Also close to bus route incl the tourist bus, restaurants and shopping areas.
The only disappointment was that there was no information about the hotel in the room - the staff were "waiting for it to be printed". I think this is a case of feeling that if the information did not "fit the brand" it should not be produced at all - a mistake I fear - we did not know, without asking, when breakfast was served, what time the spa closed, and who know what else! However, we would go back again and again and again and take friends and family.

Our room was with skylights rather than windows and it did feel a bit small but it was good for what we needed in Granada and an excellent value compared to other places we visited in Spain. The bathroom was small but very nice. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden in the afternoon and found the staff to be very helpful. The location is great and quieter than the other property that I was considering. The hotel even provided a car for us to pick up our rental car after our stay which was wonderful.
