Secured a good rate from the hotel's website and the idea of a new, modern, full service hotel in Eastern Europe appealed to me. I was not disappointed. Rooms are extraordinarily, large, comfortable and well appointed. Bed was extremely comfortable. They seemed to spare little expense in building this property and it shows. A welcome relief for those with expectations that are often unmet in this part of the world. Only negatives were location - for those who want to be in the old city, this hotel sits about a 15 minute walk from it. Also I had a sub-standard experience in the spa. None of these would detract me from staying here again.

Big room, great view, excellent bed, very good service, high speed wireless, parking (extra charge), splendid breakfast etc. It was our second stay in Swissotel Tallinn and we decided to take our five year old kid with us. At Swissotel they have special kid's room attached to the main room. I tell you, my son liked the room so much that he would not leave it at all.
Very good value for 215 EUR. Looking forward to seeing the Executive floor during my next stay.

Superb new hotel. 30 floors high. Quite spacious rooms, especially "Executive". All sterile clean and modern. Try to get room higher than 10 floor, then you'll have great overlook to ferry port. Elevators are bit tricky. When going from ground floor up to the room, than everything is OK. But when you go from your floor to visit your fellows on other floors, not always bring you to the floor you need. But it's kind of fun.

I booked this hotel for my partner's birthday and it was definitely an excellent choice. It wasn't that expense and the accommation was fantastic. The rooms were very clean and modern, with everything you needed.
We stayed on the executive floor and had brilliant views over Tallinn. The breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails (5pm-9pm) were all included - it was worth it for a bit of extra money.
The staff were very friendly and arranged taxis etc. for us. We used the swimming pool, gym and spa area - all excellent.
On my partner's birthday they brought us a cake and bottle of wine - attention to detail was great.
Tallinn is also a pretty city and very manageable in a long weekend. Get the Tallinn card to save some money.
Well worth a visit!

Ultra Comfort, Modern Hotel

I stayed here for one night. This is probably the best modern hotel in Tallinn. It is walking distance to old town, but not right next to it, it’s a bit of a walk, or a $6 taxi ride. It is not the best for a romantic getaway, for that, I would recommend something in old town like the Three Sisters Hotel or Meriton. But for comfort, this hotel is awesome. The lobby and lobby bar are gorgeous. The rooms are very large and modern. The bed and bedding are very comfortable. I recommend a harbor view room and high floor for the best views of the city.
Pro:
- modern ultra comfortable large rooms
- very nice large bathrooms with heated floors and heated towel rack
- nice large rain shower head
- quiet rooms
- front desk people speak perfect English and are well trained and very helpful
- bank ATM is across the street
Con:
- not exactly adjacent to old town, it’s a bit of a walk or a taxi away
- not the best hotel for a romantic Tallinn experience, something in old town is better for that
- shower door leaked water all over the bathroom floor (probably just a flaw in my room and they will fix it)
Tip:
- check out the museum of medieval torture, very strange and interesting
- skip the old monastery, there’s almost nothing to see inside
- check out the Beer House in old town, it’s a fun place
- don’t exchange currency at the hotel, instead use the ATM across the street
