I just want to warn everyone about this hotel. It may look ok, MIGHT be priced alright for some but let me tell you something. You won't get a moments peace around that place. Between the kids (and even adults!) running up and down the corridor like a bunch of animals at all hours of the day and night..you have to deal with loud neighbors (and they ARE allowed to bring additional electronics into the rooms such as surround sound systems, etc.) Amplify it by the fact that the hotel management are as rude as rude can be..and might I add for travelers that they also discriminate against people who are Caucasian, Latino, and well just about everyone else! They never do anything about any of the problems, despite your numerous complaints..some of the furniture had some weird looking stains on it..I don't know where to stop- I just warn that if you choose to give Lodge America your business..bring your earplugs and be prepared to clean upon arrival. I cleaned the whole cabinets and all of the dishes/utensils because some slob just stuck dirty dishes in the cabinets and lo and behold! They never checked them!

Every person(s) wants differant things from a hotel, so i'll give you my good, bad & ugly and you decide if you can deal with it.
The Good --
The price is right. With the money you save, you can put it towards nicer meals than normal, or go to more attractions that you could have afforded if you stayed in a ritzy place.
It is quiet. I didn't hear outside noice for 3 nights. it is off the main road enough that you don't hear traffic.
The bath tub, shower head and kitchen appliences were like new and in great working order. Even the shower curtain was like new (nothing worse than a scummy curtain). Having a microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer and stovetop are certainly nice features.
The staff was friendly enough. From what i could tell, as long as you were pleasant and curteous, they would return the favor. Otherwise, watch out. So, i was polite and it got me extra pillows on the spot, and polite directions. Ruder customers didn't fare so well.
The Bad --
While it is on it's own little road, it is a very high traffic area on Capital Blvd. 8-9 lanes of traffic means you had better know where you are going or you will have angry drivers to contend with. I have GPS, and my wife is a heck of a navigator, and i still traded horn blows with a few people in the process of visiting certain resteraunts and getting to where we needed to go on this street. It does have alot of food choices and shopping places though, just be prepaired best you can.
There was a funk in the air the moment we walked into the room. My wife thought it was a smoky presence (non smoking room), but i thought it was more of a very musty smell. we settled on it being the cleaning aroma and left it at that. it went away after a day or so, but it was a little unexpected and nausiating.
The clientelle was....sketchy. Granted, i had no problems and i think it was a situation where i stay out of their way and they stay out of mine. I'm sure there were normal folks like us just looking to save a few bucks to spend elsewhere, but i didn't see any. I saw people i perfered keep my distance from. So, no harm, no foul. But i'm here to inform.
Lastly, the ugly --
Nothing major, but some of the ladies out there wouldn't be too keen on the things i noticed. Most men wouldn't care. the bathroom vanity top and toilet seat needed replacement in our room, no doubt. stains that didn't come off and just an overall appearance of grungyness that might deter some folks. broken tiolet paper holders (i had to laugh when i reached for a ply and it dropped to the floor and rolled away). The kitchen was really sticky from a substance i seriously hope was cleaning supplies, but again, no harm, no foul. just kind of a grungy feel.
All in all, a place to rest (good pillows, ok beds, cheap covers/blankets/comforter), watch TV (a couple dozen typical channels), and shower up (by far the best part about the room). Only a 3 minute walk to a large grocery store to put things in the fridge and freezer to microwave later, but don't plan to use the stove-top unless you bring your own pans. they do however provide you with a setting for 2 of plates, cups, mugs, bowels and utensils. Even a cutting board (but no sharp knives, so somewhat pointless). Not a bad place overall. Hense, the average rating.
