A really good quality hotel, quiete and elegant. The wellness area is perfect!

Das Esplanade liegt zental im Stadtzentrum und ist dennoch sehr ruhig! Fantastische Atriumlobby und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Interessante Eurabische Küche im Bistro B12. Der ganze Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen.Wir haben lieber mehr bezahlt als in anderen Hotels, hatten damit auch ein deutlich besseres Angebot.

A superior hotel!!! My mother, three sisters and I surprised my Aunt for her 70th birthday. My mother grew up in Jena. The staff was knowledable and more than accommodating even though I don't speak German. The vast breakfast buffett was so filling that we would skip lunch and find a fun place for dinner. The hotel's dinner was beautiful as well. The hotel is directly connected to a mall ouside the restaurant. Easy shopping! Rooms were spotless. We had a suite with a very comfortalble king bed, more than big enough. The climate control was perfect as well as interesting to watch. The windows at the top of the hotel open hydraulically and pull the cool air through. It was centrally located and very accessable to public transportation and the college and local points of interest. My mother and two sisters will be returning in May 2007 for the 75th birthday celebration.

Ein ausgezeichnetes Hotel!! Ich habe meine Tante zusammen mit meiner Mutter und meinen drei Schwestern zu ihren 70. Geburtstag einen Überraschungsbesuch abgestattet. Meine Mutter ist in Jena aufgewachsen. Das Personal kannte sich gut aus und war sehr zuvorkommend, auch wenn ich kein Deutsch spreche. Das Frühstück war so üppig, wir brauchten mittags nichts mehr zu essen und konnten dafür am Abend so richtig zuschlagen. Das Abendessen im Hotel war auch sehr gut. Vom Hotel aus konnte man über das Restaurant direkt in ein Einkaufszentrum kommen. Super zum Shoppen! Die Zimmer waren makellos. Wir hatten eine Suite mit einem komfortablen großen Doppelbett, das groß genug war. Das Thermostat war perfekt und es war interessant zu beobachten, wie sich die Temperatur veränderte. Die Fenster im oberen Bereich des Hotels öffneten hydraulisch, um kalte Luft reinzulassen. Es hatte eine zentrale Lage und hatte eine gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, die Universität und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Meine Mutter und zwei meiner Schwestern werden im Mai 2007 zurückkehren, zum 75. Geburtstag.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and thought it was excellent. The room I was given was very spacious with a good bathroom. A 21 inch tv meant not having to strain your eyes and it also had in house movies and a mini bar but no room service. The breakfast was buffet style and was again excellent as was the restaurant in the evening. I also thought the prices in the restaurant were very good as well. The hotel has its own parking in an underground garage (8 euros a day) and a sauna and a Japenese garden both of which I did not use so I am not sure how good they were. All in all a great place to stay.
