I love Movenpick! Nice and clean rooms, friendly and helpful personal, wonderful - believe me, breakfast - I want to come back and recommend this hotel to friends.

The hotel charged more than they agreed to in writing. They agreed to a charge of 9 Euros for an upgrade, then charged 10 Euros when I get there and refused to change it although I had it in writing . Be carefull, breakfast is NOT included as in most German hotels though they cleverly write about the breakfast without mentioning that they charge ( 20 Euros per person (approx $30.00) If you are hungry, eat at the airport or some other local restraunt, there are many in the local area (turn right out of the parking lot then right again after a couple of blocks . )They charged 2 Euros for a telephone call I did not make. ( I made a wake up call to the front desk-surely they didn't charge me for that, they have not answered my inquiry about the call charge! We stayed at this hotel four previous times, the upgraded room seemed to be a regular room, the hotel needs to be upgraded, and the staff is not as good as they used to be. Parking is 9.50 Euros and the airport shutttle they advertise IS NOT FREE.

I chose this hotel because I wanted a clean, safe hotel close to the airport where there would be minimal hassle going back and forth to the airport. It fulfilled all my expectations. I didn't eat there or use any of their facilities so I can't really comment on any of that. But their shuttle service was excellent. As others have mentioned, it can be a bit hard to find at the airport as I did walk around a bit looking for it. I ended up going to the Information Desk and after that it was quite easy to find. I would recommend that you pre-book for the morning you're leaving as the bus can fill up. The hotel was clean, check-in, check-out staff were friendly/efficient and I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Moevenpick between flights at the Munich Airport. We booked the all in one package, so the shuttle and the fantastic buffet were included in the price. The shuttle was easy to find at Stop 11 outside Terminal 2 and exactly on time. When we arrived at the hotel, our reservation was waiting and check-in was a breeze, and the front-desk clerk gave both of my children free ice-cream coupons. The room was not large, but as we had two rollaways in the room, that was to be expected. Everything was clean and the room was nice. The restaurant was very good, but the service is a little slow. The breakfast buffet was very good, with many different options. The shuttle back to the airport was easy as well. Moevenpick made the whole layover simple and relaxing. The All-in-One package was a great value, particularly for families.

This is a very good option for anyone flying out of Munich's airport early in the morning. We stayed here because we arrived in Munich from Salzburg at 6 pm, and had a 7 am flight back to the States. With an international flight, that means a 5 am check in at the airport -- ugh! Given earlier postings, I am guessing that we got a very recently re-habbed room. Very comfortable beds, average size room, complimentary water and apple juice and chocolates, and what looked like a newly done bathroom. When we arrived the tv was on with a screen that said "Welcome Family Brown". That made me smile. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was about what you would expect for a hotel restaurant. The food was about average, and the service slow, but nothing was terrible. It was, naturally, over-priced. I liked the salad bar. My boyfriend ordered "fried meatloaf with egg." I can't imagine why he did this in the first place. . . but what arrived was what appeared to be a big thick slice of fried spam with an egg on top. This was quite amusing to me and he ate it and liked it ok, but don't order it if you don't want Spam! Very funny. The front desk staff was great at check in, the woman made us a reservation at the restaurant and booked us on the first shuttle to the airport. The man who checked us out was a bit harried and a bit short with us at check out at 4:45 am. But who isn't irritable at that time of the morning? The shuttle got us to the airport within 10 mins, and the driver was very kind. This was very, very convenient. Furthermore, right behind the front desk of the hotel are monitors with your flight information. If you have an early flight out of Munich's airport, I do recommend this hotel.
