Great Hotel in a Nice location with great service. Stayed as part of a Globus/Avalon tour and was treated very well. Rooms are spacious, comfortable with great bathrooms. Hotel staff was exceptional with dining service being expecially good. Easy access to Aswan via the water ferry/taxi and a very nice view of the city from the hotel bar atop the tower.

We stayed for a couple of nights late March and found it to be a gorgous hotel, I had been a little worried after reading some of the reviews but they seem to be getting on top of the renovations and our room was fantastic- no complaints whatsoever. The cleaner was a lady, infact there were ladies working all over the hotel which was quite refreshing for Egypt.
All the staff were great and very friendly apart from one man on the reception as we were checking out but that has all been sorted out with the management now.
It is very easy to get the little boat to and from the island and you are never waiting longer than 5 mins.
The swimming pool may be new but it was quite dirty but as I don't sun bathe or go in the pool this wasn't a problem for me.
All in all we had a lovely stay and will be returning next yr at some point.

We stayed here in May 2008 and thought this was an excellent property. They gave us a modern, large room and service and breakfast were excellent. Highly recomended.

After a very long week fishing on Lake Nasser, we transfered to the Movenpick for rest and relaxation. We were thrilled with the grounds, the room and the staff.
Although there have been some reviews extolling the virtues of the new part, we stayed in one of the old villas and it was great. Our villa was very secluded and right on the riverside. As we were in the next to the last villa, there was no foot traffic except the very attentive staff refilling the minibar and bringing in the room service. The villa had a huge bedroom with a balcony overlooking the river. We also had a large comfy bathroom as well as a changing room and small separate sitting area.
We tried the pool restaurant, room service and the breakfast buffet in the main restaurant. All were tasty and offered a good selection. The prices were great compared to the UK prices were are used to- minibar, lunch and dinner via room service all came up to about ?40. Bargain.
We would certainly stay here again.
