After travelling around Holland, we stayed one night at the hotel. We were so impressed. The staff, rooms and facilities were better than most of the other Hotels we stayed at along the way. No good for a tourist as it is a fair way out of town, but, excellent value for money compared to other airport hotels.

Location: I stayed here for one night on a long layover en route from Europe back to the States. With an early morning departure, I wanted a place close to Schipol. The hotel fit the bill, with its location 10 minutes by shuttle bus to the airport, 20 minutes by shuttle bus from the airport. The shuttle is a lifeline for hotel guests sitting in splendid isolation in the midst of fields.
Hint: The frequency of service of the shuttle is every 40 minutes and the driver was punctual. Download the shuttle schedule before leaving home.
Room: My standard single was a luxuriously appointed large room, with a nice sitting area on a private terrace. Room and bathroom were meticulously cleaned. Large flat screen TV. Large deep bathtub. Very very nice.
Hint: No need to book an upgraded room here. The quality and size of my standard single was just fine.
Services: Because guests arrive and depart en masse via the large shuttle bus, the front desk is swamped when the bus arrives.
Hint: Try to sit near the door on the shuttle bus from the airport, to end up closer to the head of the line for check in.
Other: I did not sign up for breakfast when I booked on line, thinking that my early flight departure would preclude eating. After hearing other guests speak highly of the food, I wish that I had signed up for an additional 10 euro. Especially after learning that breakfast is served starting at something like 5 or 5:30 am. Particularly since my early morning breakfast flight ended up left 3 hours late.
Value: I paid $136 for one Saturday night, using a discount booking site. Great value for that money.

After our quite late arrival we decided to stay at this hotel for 1 night. We were happy with our choice, the bus shuttle service was excellent and punctual. The guy at the check in was very friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent and we find it convenient. Breakfast was also good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Only stayed here one nite, but the hotel was very clean and quiet. It was also the biggest hotel room I had during my stay in Europe. Another plus was that the tv had about 10 channels in English, which was a lot more than anywhere else I stayed. There is a free shuttle service that runs from the airport to the hotel every 20 minutes, which was extremely helpful. If you just need a place to crash for one night, the NH Schiphol is perfect.
