No body speaks english, or at least they pretend they dont so that they can ignore your complains! There was a big sign that said Breakfast Buffet 120b when the bill came they charged us 250b per person instead, we complained with everyone we could but they all pretended not to understand and said that if we dont pay they would charge to the credit card anyways! The breakfast was DISGUSTING and even the eggs were cold, and all we could eat was a piece of toast and two slices of pineapple! You can hv a nice dinner for 250b per person in a good restaurant in Chiang Mai!! There are a lot of nice and cheap hotels here, no need to stay in a place where they will steal from you. Also, they booked us a dinner and told us it would cost 320b, showed us a brochure that said the same price and afterwards said it would be 100b more. We asked why, as the brochure said 320b, so they said.. ok then no problem. If you stay here OPEN YOUR EYES bcs they will try to get extra money for everything! The rooms for 1000b are not shown on the site, and although they are big, there is no contemporary deco as they say... grandmas house is not contemporary at all!!! The more expensive rooms are a better decorated, but 1 third of the size and double the price.. trickie trickie trickie Thais! And I thought buddists were brought up not to deceive and lie!!! To make a long comment short...NOT RECOMENDED AT ALL!!!

I don't know why there are bad reviews on this hotel, as I found this place excellent! We stayed in the deluxe room which is in a building to the side of the main hotel building. The room was spacious with a living room also! However I should make note that there is no lift for people staying in this room, so you have to be ready to walk up a a number of flight of steps to get to your room depending on what level you're on. This was not a problem for my husband and I though. The staff take up your luggage for you when you arrive anyway. You can choose hotel rooms in the main building which will have a lift though. The rooms were nice and clean. The hotel was in an excellent location, very close to the main night market street that is in action every night. The hotel room we stayed in was not 5 star and you should not expect 5 star quality for their prices anyway. It was cheap for the quality of room that we got. The rooms were very nice for their hotel rates! The staff were very professional and friendly. There's a small pool, gym and sauna which is nice also. There is free internet usage in the hotel foyer which is convenient for travellers. I highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Chiang Mai who do not wish to stay in a backpackers place. I enjoyed my stay here and will come back if I visit Chiang Mai again!

We booked a Delux room and after reading some of the reviews were a little wary. However, we did have a lift and out bags taken up. The room was not huge but a decent size with a small sitting area. It was clean and comfortable. The pool was small with an odd Jacuzzi which looked more like a house bath. As we have picked up a few Thai phrases over 8 years I am sure this helps with the level of friendliness and service we experienced and had a great stay and the price amazing.

I stay here 9 nights in a room at terrace zone that is next to the main building.
First the positive points:
cheap, big room, reasonable breakfast, friendly front desk staff and friendly security staff, pool look nice but not efficent, location
then the negative points:
The entrance off the bathroom is 1,60 m so even for asian people too low. During my stay off 9 nights not even one day they clean the room, only change the towels and sheets. In main building i know because a friend of my stay there the cleaning was good. Laundry, do not do that it is expensive and your clothes shrink and one shirt was even covered with paint !!!!
i find out when i back in bangkok but i am sure the laundry services must have seen it but they just folded the shirt and did not mention.
So for me i will not come back here anymore.
