I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of March 2008. The room I had did not have a sea view but it was on the courtyard, and about 10 steps from the pool, 5 more to the bar. This is quite a simple place, not deluxe in the rooms, but very comfortable and clean. The pool is small but fine, the terrace has a stunning view and plenty of space, the breakfast is great and the people are very welcoming and friendly. I speak no Portugese but the staff all had very good English. It is a very short walk in to town for the bars, restaurants etc etc, and a pleasant walk to some of the quiet beaches on the north side of the peninsula. The only (very slight) complaint is that on Saturday night there was some noise from one of the bars down on the shore below. And I could always have shut my window.... All in all, a great place, wish I'd had longer

We've stayed there two times in the last two years. It's a very special place. Like paradise. No need to go anywhere else.The ammenities are quite adequate and the view is better. The closeness of the town is great without being right in the midst of things. I would reccomend this place to all romantics.

We stayed for 6 nights at the pousada Abracadabra in Buzios this January. Having done a lot of research before hand we ended up being very satisfied with our choice of accomodation. We were overwhelmed upon arrival by an elaborate welcome by the concierge and the first thing we saw was the breathtaking views from the pool area ovelooking the bay. We were then taken to our room with a private balcony, amazing sea-view and asked to come down to the bar for our welcome-caipirinha. During our stay service was without exceptions immaculate- with discrete housekeeping twice a day. The maid even left flowers in the toilet. Add to that tranquility and a loungey ambience which was completed by soft bossa nova/electronia playlists to soothe the mind and soul and Abracadabra becomes a favorite destination for romantic holidays and overall relaxation.
