Stayed for two nights in Fall 2007. Really lovely hotel with nice tasteful furnishing, wood floors, comfortable beds, enormous plasma screen televisions and a really nice perk, in room desktop computers if you don't want to roll out the laptop to check you email at 3 am. It has a nice location about a block away from restauraunts and shopping. The ladies are reception were very helpful.
I was disappointed with the food from the restauraunt and the bell service was a little slow but overall I really liked the property and will return whenever I am in Bratislava. I got a very nice off seaon weekend rate but I found the Hotel overreaches just a bit when they asked for nearly 300 euro during the week.
Overall an excellent property.

Stayed her for one night, after spending a week in Austria.
Just wonderful! The rooms may be a little small, but they are beautifully appointed. Glass of sparkling wine, tea or coffee etc, while checking in. Nice bedlinen and white robes in the room. The free mini bar is good; Wine, beer, water and a selection of soft drinks.
Great TV, and a number of channels. My 6 year old was quite happy watching a movie, he also had Boomerang and Cartoon Network, Allowing you time to get ready for dinner without having to amuse the children! A library of DVDs to choice from.
Had a fabulous dinner there and very reasonable - think we paid around 250 euros for 7 people (inc one 6 year old) for 2 courses and lots of wine. Excellent menu. Extensive choice. Abvove all the staff were wonderful. We were in a party of 7people and my sister is in a wheelchair. They were helpful, pleasant and courteous. We could learn a thing or do about there standards of customer service. Of course, most of Europe are so happy to accommodate children and will go to great lenghts to make sure everything is good for them. The Marrols was no exception.
Wasn't so keen on Bratislava, but in fairness we were only there for a day, and the hotel was so nice.............
Anybody flying into Bratislava should add a night or two onto their stay and book into the Marrols. A real treat!

A Little Gem. Yes this hotel certainly is. After reading other reviews on Trip Advisor, I decided to contact my travel agent and book a long weekend. We were not disappointed. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the complementary minibar was replenished every day at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Although rated as a 4 star, the overall level of quality and service we received surpassed that of a 4 star. The restaurant was excellent and the prices were reasonable too.
It's location is in a quiet side street and is only a five minute walk to the centre of Bratislava.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This fantastic hotel is tucked away in a side street just a few minuets away from the main square and the river danube. we booked after reading reviews on here and were not disapointed, fantastic staff, rooms and breakfast (champaign optional) and with a free mini bar which is restocked everyday with wine, beer and soft drinks, who could want for more??. we went in february so none of the main 'tourist' things such as boat trips were open but there was plenty to keep us occupied for 3 days including a day trip to via by train (very clean & on time). Fantastic city, amazing hotel.

We selected this hotel on the basis of its ranking on this website, ranking we feel was very deserved indeed.
The hotel offers great facilities, is clean, tidy and well organised. The whole place oozes character and quality. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Their complete honesty was proven when the wallet my wife left behind in the safe was returned the following week with all its contents.
The location of the hotel - a short walking distance away from the Old Town yet in the quiet street could not be any more convenient.
Lack of a bar is amply compensated by well stocked, and free, minibar in the room.
Unfortunately, for the quality of the hotel and all its good points the dinner in the hotel restaurant was a let down. Shame really, as the decor is truly impressive.
I recommend trying Le Monde restaurant just outside the Old Town and about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Try to reserve the balcony seat in the summer.
