thought this hotel was a bit tired and dated. there is a complimentary shuttle to the sky train but be aware that you have to make your own way back to the hotel from the sky train station, it is only a 5-10 minute walk just be sure to memorise the route! breakfast was not very exciting-limited choices. we booked a package which included complimentary transfer from the airport which i would thoroughly recommend ,we were greeted at the exit door and the guy took our bags off us immediately and showed us outside to our taxi. bangkok airport is MAD so we were pleased we did not have to haggle for a taxi. room was supposed to include fresh fruit but we never got it.

This hotel is indeed a "Diamond" We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our visit.The staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until our reluctant departure.The hotel location is excellent and offers a complementary "tuk tuk" service to the nearby shopping areas and sky train. We stayed in a Solitaire suite which was very roomy with excellent facilities and serviced each day. The dining room offers good breakfast and in the evening it has an excellent good value menu.We could relax at the pool after shopping or sightseeing in peaceful surroundings.All in all we really enjoyed our stay and have already booked to come back this year. I have been visiting Bangkok for the last 15 years for business. During these years I always used to stay in JW Marriott which is considered to be one of the best business hotels in BKK. However, starting last year, they started raising their rates, and I started to look for alternatives. I was lucky to find President Solitaire. The rooms are in my opinion much better than Marriott with free Wifi at half the cost. This is my 2nd stay here in 2008, and I just booked my room for my next trip in July. I can not be happier with this hotel. The staff are great and helpful. The location is a little far from Sukhomvit, but we all can do a 10 minute walk. I strongly recommend this hotel to any road warrior. Great Business hotel.

What a fantastic hotel, we both thoroughly enjoyed our time here. From the moment we arrived at 7am, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They had a room ready for us by 8am, without us even requesting an early check in. Nothing was ever too much effort. Our room was amazing, we decided on one of the suites, and it was well worth the money. The room was about 80 sqm in size and vert tastefully appointed. Everything you could ever need was provided, and all in fantastic order. The bed was not only huge, but also very comfortable and the bathroom was just beautiful. The amenities in the hotel were fantastic for an inner city establishment, a well appointed gym, great pool (with underwater music) and fantastic restaurant. The breakfast buffet every morning was delicious. There is also a small bar and library in the lobby. The hotel is connected to a day spa which was so relaxing. Upon check in we were given two free Thai massages, it is always the little things that count. The therapists were very professional and the massage was to die for! A great way to combat jet lag. Over all, we loved the hotel, and would definitely stay again.

The location was perfect. You could walk everywhere. It was a great experience and by the way, the people here are very kind and friendly. I'm from Newzealand and that was not what I expected. My first time in Thailand and it was one of the best times I had.
